My wife showed up at work last week wearing her ring, for the first time. Her female boss's comments (President of a $100MM/year concern), after doing a double take: Oh my gosh! That is beautiful... wait, let me look again with my glasses. Do you just stare at it all the time?"
That's what a guy likes to hear about his purchase...
It is awfully "sparkly", as most ACA or Hearts and Arrows, etc. diamonds are. The side stones almost more so than the center stone; they definitely draw one's eye and are not just "sitting there" beside the center stone. The insignificant (compared to the expense of a larger superior cut center stone) extra money spent on "super ideal cut" 40 point side stones was well spent, For Sure.
The best comment from the wedding reception (well lit room, so old people could see their meal!) was from my wife's nephew (young guy, good eyesight): "That's beautiful; [because the diamonds all have so much fire] how many diamonds are there? I can't even tell!"
In a well lit room it actually is hard to distinguish each individual diamond. E color is awfully white; for anyone on a budget, I think G or H or even I color diamonds with a superior cut would look fabulous (as I think many photos posted here confirm)...
Yes, cut is definitely the most important "C"!!!
