#JOTW Whiteflash butterflies with CBI and ACA's

This is exactly what I want one day. I need to save pictures of this ring omg.

Back to this ring for another look...
Oh @soxfan I miss my Butteflies so much right now!! I need to have another made. I really do.

Your stones - those almost-just-a-solitaire-with-accents proportions. That faceting and those sparkles!! I never had superideals - your ring eclipses mine :cool2:

And that rich and creamy WG... Did you ultimately go with 14k or 18k? I'm wearing one of my unplated WG bands right now. Ten years and I still adore this colour.

I can't wait to see what band(s) you pair it with :read:

Thank you!!! I went with 18k:) I am still mulling over bands. You should definitely have another one made- I'll happily play enabler. LOL!

You nailed it girl!! What a stunner! Wear it in good health and happiness!

This is really a lovely one.

I like it without a band fwiw. But I don't wear bands or stack, so I am biased. I hate the feeling of tight things on my fingers and multiple layers of metal.

@soxfan, how do you find your stone looks against the unplated 18k versus the 14k (plated?) solitaire setting that you had? My partner is saying 14k plated would just make the diamond look whiter because the stone absorbs color from the metal.

This is one of my favorite settings of all time, well done!

Luckily I have both settings right here. I'll take some pics...

Beautiful ring with perfect proportions ! It looks beautiful on you @soxfan!

Here are some pics with my old 14k rhodium plated solitaire setting. I LOVE the 18k unplated WG.

Wow!! Sometimes when I see gorgeous three-stone rings like yours I get a tinge of FOMO! I love that the side stones aren't super large but are a shade bigger than accent stones. It covers the width of your fingers perfectly and the setting perfectly hugs the diamonds!!

@soxfan, thank you for the lovely comparison pics - it's very helpful and I can't get enough of your ring! The fluidity of the design is just lovely.

It seems like the 18k matches the diamonds better while the 14k plated was a bigger contrast - I am guessing from the pavilion and at certain angles the plated version makes the tint more obvious? I love the creaminess of your diamonds, with the fluid lines of the setting it feels really romantic!

Congrats SF!. Beautiful ring! Well done!

OH MY GOD STOP IT!!!! :kiss2::kiss2::kiss2:

Beautiful design and sparkle! Well done! Enjoy!

I just searched threads on proportions as I wanted a sidestone or accent stone look, NOT the traditional three stone ring. Measurements:

Center stone: 8.25 mm
side stones: 4.2 mm

Yes, have gone through all my old settings and I'll post them!

As you might remember, I have toyed with the idea of a three stone with these exact proportions... I love my soli, but if I ever take the plunge into 3-stone waters, this is the exact look I'd want!

I have already done the calculation for what size I'd need... 5mm would do the trick. Damn it... something to think about, for sure!!

Love! The proportions on your hand, the stones, the metal color - all of it. I'm a recent 3-stone convert too. Just love them. Yours is stunning!

Your videos are addictive, and dangerous for my wallet.:kiss2:

Your ring is gorgeous. Congratulations.

Gorgeous! I love the side view, so elegant.

I just stumbled across this thread, and I am in love with your ring! I've seen the butterflies setting before, but only now do I have a real appreciation for it. Your center stone is perfectly sized, I love the smaller but not too small sides, and the spread on your finger is perfect. Can't believe those are K color! Huge fan!

I really want something that is low-ish profile. I notice this one is lower profile than your solitaire; I wonder if they could set the diamonds even lower upon request?

I only wear my ering--I don't stack it. I love the simplicity of it.

I agree -- this is one of my dream rings.

İ am currently looking at a 3 stone from WF but at a way lower sizing.
Your ring is a beast :kiss2:
İ was thinkig 2x .3 and a .7-.75 centre.

İ liked this design from Vanessa which is very similar to WFs so i might just go with WFs design after seeing this.

Are these ok peoportions or should i go smaller (meele) side stones instead and opt for a slightly bigger (if possible) centrw stoneScreenshot_20210115-103120_Facebook.jpg

Lovely! The proportions in your images look more like a traditional three stone. It just depends what your preference is and the look you're going for.

Picture was more or less about the aa opposed to the stones.

İm thinking maybe .80 centre and .25 side stones?

This is such a beautiful ring and looks so wonderful on you. You have been on quite a journey. How are you enjoying your ring @soxfan ?
