I am in the process of upgrading . . . for the third time in as many months!!!!

They are still courteous and helpful and rushing to get the data up quickly and make me happy.

It's not even that expensive of a stone, to them.

Whiteflash Rocks!

So Kenny, how about a link to this new rock?

ACA classic .82 carat E VVS1.
HCA is 1.5.
It is hard to find stones this clean in this size.
I returned an IF, mostly beacuse the color was lower than I really wanted though I would have kept it had this baby not come along.

Besides I like VVS1 since it is going to have at least one inclusion I can use to identify my stone.

Kenny, can I ask a question? I have a VS1, 1 pinpoint, 1 cloud. I can''t see anything. How can you see something in a VVS1?

I have a GIA VS1 also and can easily see the inclusions with my loupe.
I also have access to really fine microscopes at work.

I have good viaual acuity and have worked under microscopes looking for small details of things for 25 years, though I am not trained in gemology.
I understand it is not guaranteed I will be able to find the inclusion in an AGS VVS1 with a loupe.
But I called and the only thing Lesley could see on the report was a tiny dot near 3:00 on the pavillion.

This also pleases me because I see AGS VVS1s with up to 7 inclusions on plots.
If mine has only one it must be a relatively noticeable one.
I'd rather have that than 7 that are too small or faint for me to find.

I know I know, I'm goffy.
But I just feel more peace of mind with a VVS1 than an IF.
YMMV.

OK, a high mag microscope would help. lol

Congrats on your stone!

Whoa! What a BEAUTY, Kenny! Glad you have high power microscopes, because like Ellen, I can''t see any inclusions in my VS1 with a 10x loupe! Kenny, I love high clarity and color, too. I just have to balance my size and other characteristics until such time as I win the lottery and can get it all! Ha! Can''t wait to see it!

Thanks
I honestly prefer the .8 or .9 size over larger stones.
As a man I'd feel funny wearing anything larger. YMMV.
Shrinkage has not set in. yet.

This stone is the perfect cut, size, clarity for me and the color couldn't be much better.
A D would have been groovy, but this E is the limit of my bugdet since I didn't want to go smaller than a .8 carat.

Thanks Whiteflash, and especially John Pollard

I''m a D-E-F color whore so I get what you mean.

Congratulations!!! It looks lovely. Can you post (for those of us with poor memories) what your other two stones you traded back in were? I''m just curious about what types of changes you made. Thanks.

Beautiful Pure stone.
Can't wait to see pics.

Scintillating...

Sone hunter, here are the three stones.
None of them had ever been set.

.748 ct I VVS1 - original budget
.924 ct I IF - upgraded because of a bonus from work
.820 ct E VVS1 - upgraded for substantial color improvement

I''ve gotta agree. I''m also upgrading for the 3rd time this month with WF and they have been very helpful still.

The only thing that I didn''t like was their short inspection period of 10 days. It took me an extra week to decide and they said that they would have to revert to the 70% buyback. Really sucks because I could have bought from BN and have returned it for a full refund.

HOWEVER, Whiteflash did get me the diamond that I was looking at on the BN website and they got it for me. They also photographed it, Sarin, ideal scoped it and examined it for me. I''m receiving it in the next couple of days, can''t wait. 1.4ct RB, D VS2
