Who wants to see my haul from today?

Hey thanks @stracci2000, you're a pretty cool chick and I hope to meet you in person someday. Also there is no better caretaker for the Steph/Yada ring, that I know for sure!

Everyone has some "crap", some have more than others, I'd rather have a crappy childhood and have a great rest of life than the other way around. Also much of it is perspective :)

You're very zen about it and that's so refreshing! And I'm glad you're taken care of these days! xo

I am even more blessed because I found PS and you lovely ladies @PreRaphaelite
@Calliecake

PS is so special, I wonder how many other boards have the same sense of family among their members.

@YadaYadaYada This is why your so Love-able and relatable. Your so easy to talk to, and understanding. This Makes So much sense To me, people with hard childhoods make the best people and friends(My experience). thank you for sharing your story. I love your positive outlook

Thanks @Smith3, honestly it's just easier to have a positive outlook rather than hold all this negativity over the years. I'm glad I come across relatable because I really just try to be myself :)

Our antique stores are back! Today I found a couple of aurora borealis pieces which I collect. Funny thing though, I don't have pierced ears but I couldn't say no to those amazing pink earrings. I also have some pictures from the antique shop to share for those who can't get out to their favorite shop.

Awwww---Steph! I do love the Wedgwood---(haha seller misspelled it!)
$39 is just about right for that ring.

@stracci2000, I've never seen a Wedgewood ring before, immediately thought of you. No bargains to be had here but fun to look around!

I just realized I misspelled it too @stracci2000! Oops!

Yeah, our brains want to put that 'E' in there, to make the word "wedge"
I actually didn't realize that you did it too!!! LOLOL
I always have to stop and think about it before I type it out.

I love the pictures you took! I haven’t been inside anywhere but my house since the beginning of March, so this is like a taste of the outside world for me lol

@Smith3, oh good, I'm glad you enjoyed them. We went to another larger antique shop today, no pictures and no purchases but we had fun anyways.

@Pinkmartini87, thanks! I'm so happy to have adventures again to share :)

So...I just noticed that this thread has 53k views!!!!! Guys, how amazing is that?

Today, at my favorite thrift store, I scored some sterling. The price tag was stuck over the sterling mark!
Bad for them, good for me.
This is an International Sterling
bonbon dish. It's 4.5 inches across.
Dating 1890-1910-ish. I paid 70 cents!

Your thread is awesome!
People who like antique and vintage are awesome, too!

OUR thread, this thread wouldn't be nearly as fun and interesting without you and everyone else who contributes :)

Beautiful roses on that dish, I'm always amazed at your ability to find sterling....and 70 cents a freaking steal!

Now you just needs some bonbons @stracci2000

Some stores are starting to open up here but I’ve only been out once. I’ve been busy painting and working on some house projects but I did receive this from @PreRaphaelite!! 7550AFCF-A9F7-4DE8-A850-7560C528D97A.jpeg
I’m sorry it took a little while to come and say THANK YOU!! I love it!!

On my one outing I found this wonderful bench/settee with an unusual rolled headrest for $40. I didn’t buy it but I did send pics to all my friends with old historic homes. 4511E632-8476-498B-BFF9-7277CB17A12F.jpeg

Oh my! It looks so beautiful! I can wait to see all the different things you display inside. Thank you so much for showing me how it should be worn <3

And thanks @stracci2000 from one enthusiast to another!

I have tried a few things in the locket but have only worn it once empty, which I think is also beautiful. I just don’t think it goes well with my painting clothes, lol. I will post another pic when I wear it more appropriately. ;)2

@1ofakind, that locket is amazing and your picture could be in a magazine. Just beauty all around. I also love that settee and amazing carving. I would love to have a piece like that but my cats would tear it up!

your picture could be in a magazine

Right?!?! Great photo, so evocative!
Remember Victoria Magazine, from back in the day? I subscribed for years and years and kept all the back issues until moving to Ireland, when I donated a dozen boxes to a thrift store. Boy do I regret that!

Awe thank you! Credit for the photo should go to the everlast roses and perfect sunset lighting.

I was a little bummed when none of my friends wanted the settee. It does look like a cat did tear it up lol but a little upholstery Would bring it right back and I would have done it for them! But I don’t need another project and it wouldn’t stay in my house. Resale for that kind of thing here isn’t good even if I put the work into it. It made me sad to walk away but I did.

Stores are still closed around here so I have a teeny tiny haul from ebay. I recently fell in love with the love knot symbols and wanted a simple yet elegant one.

Hoping to convert into a pendant soon. When it arrived, it was covered in black grime and green rust. The sellers photos werent too great, but I liked the design and took a chance. Two ultrasonic cleanings, a vinegar soaking and work with a toothpick and cotton, and it's looking great!

10k gold, Victorian.

And I of course louped the tiny diamond.
