Who was the first to mention marriage and how did it come up

When and how did the possibility of marrying your significant other come up in conversation between you two, and which of you was the first to mention it?

I think it was about 6 months in and DH brought it up, saying "I think I want to marry you some day. Would you be ok with that?" Lol. I'm not sure if we discussed it more vaguely before that or not, but that's the first time I can remember one of us bringing it up very specifically.

We'd been dating for about 2 months and DH asked me what kind of ring I thought I'd want. It was the first specific conversation regarding marriage, though we both knew our relationship was going that direction already.

It is so terrible; I don't recall. I imagine it was when we did the pre-engagement ring thing so that would have been DH suggesting it around year 1. I'm just guessing though.

we have been together for 12 years... it came up when he was looking to buy a house, and he kept saying "our house" and wanted me to be 100% involved in the process.
