We just got our updated Omicron Vaccine. I’ll post later on tonight or tomorrow to let you know if we get any reactions. I’m happy we got it.

Definitely!

I plan to get it.

Yes we will! Our doctor’s office was expecting it this week.

I should be getting a fourth dose soon, and don't care which one I get.

DK :))

I found out that they don’t even have the old formula anymore. If you get a vaccine today in the US it’s the new Omicron updated vaccine.

That's good to know! I was trying to figure where the new one was available!

If you’re in the states check Walgreens. When I tried to find one..CVS didn’t have them yet. It was easy to make the appointment on the Walgreens website. I did have to drive a half hour to get it though.

I actually got my last one at walgreens & luckily, I have one quite close by. Thanks for the tip :)

They didn’t have them at any Walgreens near me. That’s why I had to drive to another town a half hour away.

I just got my 2nd booster about a month ago, so probably wont get this one yet

I suppose I will, but I sure did get sick from the initial shot and two boosters. I was down for three days with all of them.
I do not look forward to getting that sick again.

I will get whatever is going to be available in October, which is when I'll also be getting flu shot.

Definitely, I’d like to have the Pfizer one as my other 3 were also Pfizer and I didn’t have any issues with them.

I just had covid in August, even with being fully vaccinated and boosted. With it being on the fence as to how effective this booster will be and my recent infection, likely no at this time. Potentilaly, in the future, but I'd want to know how effective it actually is first. I still have the fatigue and some other minor annoying things, and had allergic reactions to all of the three prior shots, so I'm going to hold off until I know more about this one and real world results.

 Just went on the Walgreen website and I’ve got my booster for this afternoon at 4pm

I will have whatever I am offered, whenever I am offered it.

I had Covid in August & was extremely surprised at how much it knocked me off my feet, despite 3 jabs. Mild in comparison to some, but the cough, sore throat, endless snot, (& I literally mean endless like flood water), loss of taste & smell, extreme fatigue for 2 solid days.......

Thankfully I got over most of it quickly & left for Cyprus on time with my family, but the snot & cough lingered for 2 weeks. I was also slightly breathless the first week of holiday when walking, with a weird heavy ache in my ribs.

I managed to dodge it for 2.5 years despite being in school right though all lockdowns with a group of vulnerable children & children of key workers, and then a lovely trip to London to do exciting things & visit Tiffany's finally got me!

I think having the vaccine doesn’t prevent you from getting it..It reduces the severity..and possibly death depending on the variant and your risk factors.. I plan on using all the tools available to help keep us as healthy as possible. I still wear my masks when I’m indoors. I’m definitely in the minority.

@Ally T I’m happy You are over it. It sounds horrible..I just think having the booster kept it from becoming bad enough that you needed to go into the hospital.
I think it was Tiffany’s fault!

Is Colin getting his too? I’ll be thinking of you at 7pm my time!

Thank you.

And yes! I shall sue Tiffany's for ALL the jewellery as recompense!

It has to be at least 2 months since the last one.

this I did not know!!! thanks for letting me know then when I get the flu shot I will get this one as well!!! sigh wished it would stop, the 2nd booster effected me for a couple of days afterwards....

I just got mine an hour ago. I got Pfizer since that's what I've had all along and didn't have terrible side effects, just some fatigue. Around here, Walgreens seems to have Pfizer and most CVS's have the Moderna (with a few exceptions). All are only giving the updated boosters, not the original ones.

Yes just wondering what the best timing will be. I’m trying to avoid getting sick before bridal season is over but it sure would be nice to have some additional protection going into the holidays as well. I will probably cross my fingers I don’t get sick between now and end of the month and get it then.

HI:

I'm sick of f**ing needles so there's that..... :saint:

cheers--Sharon

That’s actually not true. Our local pharmacies and Costco have not gotten the omicron booster in as of today. They’re still waiting. And they’re still offering the original boosters.

I do plan on getting it as my fourth vaccine.

Good luck @MamaBee. Fingers crossed you don’t have a bad reaction. ❤️

The pharmacist told me today that all the vaccines are pulled. I wonder if it’s by states.
