Oh no @AprilBaby, Please take good care of yourself. I hope you have a light case with mild symptoms.
Yes, I’m planning to get the new shot soon.
Yes, I’m planning to get the new shot soon.
I had my three jabs and consider myself fit and healthy.
I got Covid a few weeks ago.
OMG I was soooooo sick. Seriously sick. I hate to imagine how sick I might have been without my jabs.
When I’m eligible for my 4th (and any number of extra booster after) stand aside lest I trample you getting to the front of the queue.
I will not, unless forced to by work. I had COVID in May after 3 vaccines and it was mild enough that I was back at work by day 6. My parents had COVID, were triple vaccinated, and just had COVID again in July. I am pretty tired of the endless boosters.
We are getting our 2nd booster today - Moderna. Dreading the side effects. All 3 jabs lefts me with a very sore arm for about a week, exhaustion and injection site rash.
This one will be the updated booster so you may have a different reaction or non at all. I hope this one is easier on you.
That’s great!!! I had a delayed reaction this morning but I’m fine now..I’m so glad Greg decided to get it!!Both Greg and I just got the Moderna bivalent vaccine at our local pharmacy. They got it in yesterday so I canceled at the pharmacy that was further. Now the fun begins. Lol
Our pharmacist told us this vaccine actually begins working immediately with maximum effect at 7-10 days. He said it should last 8-14 months but that’s just an educated guess.
No reaction at all, even the injection site isn’t sore today.
So glad you and Greg got yours today @missy

I totally agree @missy, we won’t know for sure if the vaccine has had any effect on us, but I’d rather live with that risk than risk getting Covid. Before the vaccine, none of us knew if we’d even survive Covid if we got it, now we know people who’ve been vaccinated and have had Covid and recovered.
Only we can decide on our level of risk regarding the vaccines, if we ever want to lead any kind of normal life again.
Not mild. I am immunocompromised so I have tried so hard not to get this. Severe headache, chills, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, head so stuffed I couldn’t breathe, ringing ears, skin hurts to touch. It’s not in my lungs. I got paxlovid last night and it’s subsiding but it also has a good size relapse rate. Thank you one year old grandson.
15 hours post Moderna bivalent booster:
So I had a bit of a challenging night because the arm where I received the booster is quite sore. As in difficult to even lift it. the soreness set in three hours after the vaccination. I had to sleep on my back all night because trying to sleep on my right side (the side I usually sleep on) still hurt my left arm.
I feel achy all over too. I am not sure if I have a fever but will check later.
Hope everyone is feeling well. And for those who have Covid now may your recovery be speedy and full.
Our household has finally been stricken with Covid, so I will just have to wait!

The grandson had a miserable few days and is feeling better. Now mom and dad, older sister and the in-laws have it but mild. Today my head is clear, day 3 paxlovid. I have sore throat, light headache and cough. Skin still hurts to touch and my ears still hurt. On the funny side, I’m going to need an industrial razor when this is over. Thank goodness for nice weather. I’m in the spare room with a rocking chair and table, windows open to look outside and get fresh air.
