so what are you going to do with the first pairs of studs? They're so much alike! (at least to me!! - I'd be wanting to get all different shapes each time so I'd still wear the old pairs because they'd be different). They're just beautiful (and huge! I have friends who have engagement rings with smaller stones than your earrings - ha!)

Well, unfortunately when you take advantage of a vendor's trade-up policy, the darn vendor expects you to send the old diamonds BACK! *Hmph!* Can you imagine???! LOL!

Well, I am keeping ONE of the smaller studs from my first pair for my second hole of my right ear. One was a .45 J/VS2 and one was a .44 K/SI1 and after belaboring it for waaaaay too long,

I decided to keep the "J" and return the "K", mainly because the "J" was a teeeeeeensy bit bigger and I am, after all, a shameless size addict!

(For those who may be wondering, though, I did NOT return the K because of the COLOR! It was white/white/white and I couldn't tell it apart from the J unless I louped them both to read the laser inscriptions!)

ANYWAY... keeping one stud put me a little over my planned "budget", but I just couldn't help myself! And actually today I wore the NEW studs in the main holes and the .45 in the second hole, and I'm telling you -- my right earlobe had some gorgeous and BLINGALICIOUS real-estate coverage goin' on -- OH, whoa babeeeee!

Haha, THANKS! Actually, though... I don't think I really have a whole lot in my jewelry box -- not like some folks around here!

I've got my e-ring and w-ring... the new studs... the one .45 stud and little Baby Bling (.17 stud)... and a couple of nice RHRs... that's really the extent of "the good stuff".

I do have quite an assortment of various (inexpensive) dangly french hook earrings, most of which I have made myself, a few pair of silver hoops, and a Fossil watch... but those probably don't really *count*. And that is pretty much *it*! No diamond bracelets, no diamond pendants... no expensive watches... gosh, I am darn near SAINTLY!

Awww, thanks everyone! I sure am having fun with these babies, that''s for sure! And since we got our first real snow of the season yesterday, I NEED ''em to keep my ears warm!!!

(And oh, Miranda -- yes, Boo has noticed them... he tried to nibble one out of my ear the other day!!!

I thought this UBER-MACRO close-up was a good one, though, to show just how tight the martini settings "nestle" into the ear. I love the "floating on the earlobe" look.

And this is a .74 stone, so the setting alone is fairly good sized. So I am quite pleased!
