While I admit I''m supersensitive to brown and grey, that stone has obvious brown in it. Most spessartites have brown in them, as Richard Sheerwood indicated in a thread I started, but the degrees to which it is obvious can vary. Even my new asscher spessartite has a tinge of brown in it, but it''s to a degree I can tolerate. You may never find one without any brown in a darker tone, but you can find one with less brown. I''m hoping you can find one devoid of all brown, but they are difficult to come by.Date: 7/25/2009 3:42:57 PM

Awww thanks guys. The search will continue!
TL it is a pain to return it and it''s not an expensive gemstone for one that''s cut so well but I''d rather have the money to find something I love. I''m glad you agree it''s too brown. I thought it was me going round the bend!!! I think both you and I are supersensitive to browns and greys!
