I"m loving the spinels I see on this board. I would so love to buy a larger one = between 1 and 2 carats. I have a picture somewhere of my dream ring, maybe it's the rings someone here owns..it's gorgeous!!! anyhow if you have any suggestions of where to search, what threads already exist, please let me (a newbie) know. thanks!! Pictures of yours would be great! I also love indicolite, or blue/green tourmaline. I have an artsy ring I just bought from Melissa Caron on Etsy, and she set my 1 to 1.5 carat indicolite and it looks great! I"ll post pictures..

Sapphire, does it have to be a finished piece, or would you be in a position to get loose stones?

If so, I can connect you with a dealer to source the stones....several of the PS gals have bought from him and he's got AMAZING stuff.

Are you still looking? I have bought a few rhodolites from one seller on Ebay and so far I've been very happy with his/her stones. Most of the stones in the store are calibrated but they sometimes have a couple of large stones too.

Are you still interested in a rhodolite? I have one which is 6.42 and I think the color matches what you have posted, only it is a round one. My recent, and very inexpensive, acquisition from a US cutter, and I am giving a very good deal. My photos are not great, but if you are interested, please post it here and I shall list it on DB.

I, too, am curious if you are still interested in looking for a rhodolite garnet. I have a ring with a halo that I have been toying with selling. It's a one carat rhodoliate garnet in a micropave style halo. White gold and currently a size 6-6.25. Sizeable within reason (but I will double check this with my jeweler). The melee is quite lively and sparkly.

Aww -- you're the one who purchased my garnet ring! I hope you like it.

I've got a rhodolite I'm selling as well. These pics make it look much more red than it is, but the lighting in our new place isn't the best for taking pics. I can try to get some during the day if you're interested.
