Would you set a 3.5mm stone?

I love LD's flower ring! The one I posted from Sally would have a similar effect of big finger coverage with a small stone (but of course in a completely different style). Not sure if that's your style, but take a peek if you haven't already.

It's quite pretty but I don't think I'd like it as a ring. For me, the Bella seems more like a pendant or earring design.

LD's ring made me think of doing something like this but I think it may end up being too expensive. 3-3.5mm diamonds are in the 10 to 12 points range, right?
