WTB old cut pear diamond

Check Premier Gemstones on Instagram. He's had a few antique style pears recently. Unsure if they are actually antique or not, but they are very reasonable pricing. He may have more if the ones he had sold.

An antique pear would be so amazing! @elizat will you satisfy my curiosity and tell me how much those pair of pears (I just like saying that lol) were on that IG page? It’s the first time I’ve seen their page; great stuff! But price disappears when something is sold.
 
Good luck! How did you get him to respond? I‘be inquired about a couple of pieces and every time he looked at my messaged and left me on read. Never responded. So, I unfollowed him.

Wow! I told him that I had seen his pears but noticed they were sold. I said I have been looking for a pear and here is my budget, so please keep me in mind if you see anything else. Vendors can be so weird.

They were around $2500 to 2800 for the ones that were 1.1 to 1.3 cts.

I have bought an aquamarine from him. I also have inquired about other things. He's been pretty responsive. Vendors can be odd. I could never get Jewels by Grace to respond to me on something a bit back, even though I had an established customer history.

That’s weird. Especially cuz you have an established customer history. Who knows what’s going on inside vendor’s heads.
 
If you’re still looking premier has 2 antique pears today on IG.
 
I was just coming to recommend premiergemstones on IG. @Mreader beat me to it. I just purchased an antique cushion from him. I’m sending it to GIA for grading. He has posted a lot of pears in the last week. Most are posted on his stories and sell pretty fast.
 
What is your budget, @daintyG? Because there's a killer pear for sale on LT in a CvB setting, if you're interested!
 
I’ve been looking at that one. I technically have $3k in my jewelry budget but can stretch it some. The seller is firm on price for now. Very lovely ring!

@Mreader and @Bfelix I can’t find those stories as they were posted a couple of days ago. I feel like just from the one picture I might like those or I might not. I messaged to ask if they were still available. I will ask to see more pictures or videos.

Keep a look out. He posts pears a lot. Get notifications for his stories. I know Alex parks just posted some on IG too. Alex is with parksfinegroupinc. He just posted some pears. He gets them quite often too.

The 1.18 one isn't in stories as those go away after a day or so. But it is in his regular pics and says available.

so I messaged him and the one in his regular post that says available... he said isn’t available. However the two from his stories are.

Hi @elizat, If you text Grace she (in my experience) responds very quickly as opposed to emailing or DMing on IG.

Thanks- I had been a long term customer, buying something probably twice a year, give or take. Not huge gigantic purchases. I had tried a few years back to reach her in excess of over 5-7 times about something and never got a reply back. I decided after that, my money would go elsewhere. I really dislike having to chase folks to give them money. We had that same issue with exterior landscape lighting this past month. Two vendors just ignored the bid request. Unfortunately, she has very pretty things! I guess better for my wallet. :lol:

I’ve purchased from Grace before and yes I have the same problem and I feel the same way. I sent Grace a DM a week ago or so. She replied and said she’d look and let me know, but I never heard back again.

Yeah I hear you. I’m not going to defend her but to say sometimes things get lost in the shuffle as her pieces are in demand and well, speaking for me only, I get it. I’m not the most organized person so I get it. I know as a business person you gotta be on top of things though.

I will say we had to chase our contractor down before we hired him and my dh wanted to go elsewhere as it was in his words too much work to give him our money. In my gut I knew he was the contractor for us. Best decision I ever made was to pursue the contractor because he was the bomb. Once hired he was amazing. Greg agreed.

Of course we do what we feel is best and there are lots of beautiful pieces out there. Go with your gut. You have a gorgeous collection @elizat ❤️

Thanks for the tip. I’ve been searching these hashtags since you first suggested this a while back. It’s an excellent idea and has helped me find more vendors. I did this search last night and found one vendor I still need to DM.
 
@daintyG Alex from parkfinegroups on IG occasionally has chunkalicious pears.

Dolly from thexobijoux on IG also worth checking out.

And Diana from sincityfinds. She gets some amazing pieces in at incredible prices.

Good luck! It’s definitely harder to find a gorgeous antique pear than OEC IMO. If this one you have your eye on is beautiful definitely DM the vendor ASAP. Fingers crossed for you!
