In the early part of 2021, I focused on having Victor Canera finally reset my diamond from a solitaire to his gorgeous antique cushion halo. I am so glad I waited to find the perfect setting!


Next, I saw a perfect pair of 1.6 ct (each) H VS1-2 WF ACAs and did my FINAL studs upgrade!




After getting my diamond pieces straightened out, I got a VCA Magic onyx long pendant in May (to match the bracelet I got last Christmas), and a few months later I lucked into finding a solid wg vintage Alhambra bracelet (at the boutique) that was a special order but the original customer changed their mind.





I actually have not gotten any jewelry for Christmas and anniversary yet. VCA was (and is) sold out of everything I had on my wishlist, and I have been wearing so little jewelry over the last year or so that I felt uncertain about what I really want. So I may get a belated gift in the next few weeks if I can decide!

I got this vintage Imado moonphase watch I’d been hunting for a while



and the project closest to my heart…I worked with Inken to reimagine my wedding set. I slimmed down my original wedding band and got a whole new floral inspired solitaire to let my OEC shine

I'd recommend considering the rose gold pave vintage alhambra pendant instead. It will go with so many more things and will coordinate with all other Alhambra pieces in rose gold.

I've been thinking this myself over the past couple of days! I love that pendant, but need to come to terms with the price. And if I get the pave pendant, I'll have to get the pave earrings to match, right??

This is so fun!

This was the year of diamonds for me!

First, I set my .56 GIA D OEC from DBL into a 14k white gold setting from Ivy and Rose.

Second, I got my 1.07 J heart diamond in a 14k rose gold Stuller pendant from Jon at Distinctive Gem.

Third, I bought a pre-loved Oscar Heyman French cut Ruby and diamond band in 18k yellow gold.

Fourth, I got my 3 stone OEC AVR unmentionables set in 14k rose gold from Daniel M.

Fifth, I got a large 5+ carat amethyst from Andrew’s Enchanted Gems. I haven’t set it yet.

Sixth, I got my very special Wolf CBI 5 diamond ring in a custom 18k yellow gold U prong ring to celebrate my huge career accomplishment.

Seventh, I got my 24k solid gold hoop huggie earrings.

Eighth, I got my 7” PP AAA Akoya bracelet in 14k white gold.

Ninth, I got my Gem quality Akoya studs in 18k yellow from Andrew Moline.



Oh boy! That does it for me. 2021 reeeeeaaaally hit my wallet hehe

In the mean time, his mom and I were discussing the other day that we should enjoy all his blingy gifts while he's still single, because when he gets married his DW will (rightfully) have the priority and will be the main and maybe the only recipient of his amazing gifts!!!!

Sure! Not the best shot but hopefully helps. They are in the 8.5-9mm size range (from what I understand, pearl pricing is based on “ranges”)

id go to Moline himself on Instagram for pricing, he is very helpful. Pricing is based on not only size, but quality. So depending on what you are looking for, pricing varies a lot. You can also compare against Mikimoto pricing for the 8.5-9mm in AAA (this is the equivalent based on what Moline said)

Loving this thread! It’s like window shopping! My year was focused on some resets and acquiring some everyday items. I’ve always liked DBTY so I got 18” necklaces in white and yellow gold and I love them so much! Pretty alone or layered. The compass pendant marked the sale of our vacation house in STJ. The studs were a size and budget compromise but I was able to use PS guidelines to choose a lovely pair. I reset my marquise ER in platinum and found a pretty Ivy & Rose ring to wear with it. And finally, had my FY reset into a halo ( actually was a micro pave halo before that I did not love ) and bought the small band on 1stDibs to wear with it.

A stunning classic collection.
I didn't buy bling this year (not anything significant) but I am in the process of passing my jewelry down to my loved ones.
Pieces I don't wear that I think they will enjoy wearing.
To that end I am starting my sister's bling collection as all she really has is her Tiffany diamond ER, band and a few pairs of modest earrings.

We just gave her my most blingy diamond hoops. Sassy and sweet. And happily she loves them!
I told her if I give her anything she won't wear and love to let me know as I have plenty of selection to choose from and want her to love what we give her.

How sweet is this!! Can I be your sister? LOL!!!

My year consisted of 6 things (actually, it’s really more if you count the things I bought to tear apart to make some of these items but I’m just not going there lol in my defense I also sold a bunch of items I wasn’t wearing or were pre-PS). 3 were planned/on my radar, the other 3 fell into my lap/had to have. All I can say is, my list of must haves has dramatically dwindled.

This year I didn't buy any jewelry for myself but I received a lot of wonderful and meaningful gifts from people that I love!
The first gift of the year was a ruby and diamond ring! It was a gift from my father, which was given to me during the difficult time that I was fighting breast cancer and it has a great significance to me.
A few weeks later, dad also gave me a wonderful ruby and diamond bracelet, which was a totally unexpected piece!!!
I'm attaching photos of the two pieces worn together!

What beautiful treasures and a sentiment you will carry forever from your father!!
