So I’m excited to say that even though I had to return the french cut band I was so excited about(from Etsy), I was able find and purchase another one that I saw online on Wilson Estates. Platinum, Size 6, approximately 1.25 ctw, vintage, french cut diamonds, about 2.7 mm wide and 1.9 mm in height. Has milgrain edges and filigree details on the outside. LOVE!!!

A 3/4 ct F SI2 OEC from IvyandRose. It's EGL certified but the write up assured that it really WAS white, so I bought it on faith. It just arrived, and it really IS white! It's a lovely color match with my .64 AVR E VS stone, and is utterly eye clean. I'm having it re-cut / tidied up so it's a better match with my .64, at which point they'll go either side of my purple/grey cushion spinel from Gary at Finewater Gems. This is to replace my previous grey spinel and diamond ring, which I adored so much - I wanted to make it again...but bigger!

I currently have 10 projects on the cooker with DKJ - most of them small-ish, but all precious. The next few months for me should be awesome!

Thank you! I’m excited about the milgrain bc the pictures and video don't show it at all. I just love that the ring is a little worn and not perfect. The diamonds are also better than expected BC I really was expecting a few flea bites, etc but they are surprisingly In great shape. I’ve also found that I prefer the older cut french cut diamonds that have tiny culets. I don’t like the modern cut ones as much (of course I will take any and all if given!)

Thanks! I thought the diamonds on the engagement ring might clash a bit but I just love that they are a bit different. Also I can always wear the FC band in a stacker set. Before I was thinking of getting a FC band with larger diamonds but I really don’t want a stand alone ring. I wanted it to match width- wise with my engagement ring setting. So it’s perfect.

Thank you so much! I finally feel that I have what I want. In the past I wanted to change this or that, bigger diamond, different setting, different bands. Then I would get what I thought I wanted and didn’t wear it.
This is the first time ever that I have worn my engagement ring every day since getting it.
Before I would go without wearing it for weeks at a time. And I’m not embarrassed to wear it either. Before I was embarrassed to wear it bc I thought it was too big. Now I don’t care!

The ever gorgeous @mrs-b helped me find the sweetest half carat cushion on Blue Nile for this ring (thank you so much again for your help, dear lady!!), but me being me, I had a last minute change of heart, and swapped it for a .49 E SI1 emerald cut that the fabulous @OoohShiny found for me. My birthday is a month away yet, so I have to wait a bit, so for now it is in DanielM's hot little hands. I can't wait to get it!
