Your Latest Jewelry Purchases/Things You're Considering....

I may have lied when I said my horseshoe ring was my last purchase for awhile. :P2 Here's my new-to-me 1950s vintage wedding set, purchased from the lovely Jocelyn at GildedLane (IG/Etsy). The main stone is an OEC and about .25ct; the rest of the stones are single cuts. It's soldered together, which isn't normally my preference but it's charming to me because it's so characteristic of the era.

I love this ring because it's delicate and sparkly with teensy pastel rainbow flashes, stacks well with other bands, and the cut of the main stone is top-notch (absolutely perfect petals!). Thanks for letting me share!

Whoooot!! My emerald eternity just arrived from Gold Adore! It is SO green and glowy!! I love it!! I am planning to send it to DK for milgrain and engraving, but I'm going to enjoy it awhile first!!
And I **may** have more emeralds on the way! :Up_to_something:

I adore this set. I love how the green is glowing.:love::love:

DW just received her latest auction purchase, an emerald and diamond bracelet. There are 25 oval cut emeralds each measuring about 7.1x5.1x3.6.

@Bluegemz , that is beautiful! What is an Edison pearl?

@Bluegemz , that is beautiful! What is an Edison pearl?

Thank you! An Edison pearl is a Large, freshwater pearl In which the mollusk has been nucleated with a bead, the same way that cultured salt water pearls are. Most freshwater pearls are nucleated with a tissue slice, and are therefore Mostly all nacre, but this limits the size. Edison pearls can be very large, like south sea pearls. The freshwater pearls can have amazing colors and can sometimes appear to be metallic due to luster and color. They range from white, cream, lavender, purple, peach and subtle combinations of these colors.
here are some other images of un drilled ones which I was considering...next to the one I bought.

I bought this diamond horseshoe pin from Gilded Lane and had it sent to DK to convert into a necklace. I love how it turned out...it’s just the sweetest little thing.

Thank you. I gave them minimal guidelines and they pulled it off beautifully.

Thank you. I’ve been wanting a horseshoe pendant to remind me of my good friend @suzanne2 (who is an avid horse lover). When I saw the vintage vibe on this one, I knew it was a perfect fit. :D

Oh it’s sooooo pretty!!! I was sorely tempted but stuck to my bling ban! Tag me if you ever sell... in 2021... lol

Looks stunning!!!

Just an update -

My EC with tapered bullet sides is being re-cast. Still hoping it reaches me in time for my birthday on the 20th.

Platinum diamond bangle is currently being set. Hoping to have that for my birthday also.

Having a gypsy ring re-made also. Ever so slightly larger center going into it. Not sure when this will be ready.

Hiya @pearaffair ! Noted and will do! I was on a bling ban, too, but I'm weak. ;(

Here's a slight twist for this thread: I bought this band off IG. I've become addicted to emeralds, and I had never seen them in duchess cut. "Pretty cool!!" I thought. And seller said was platinum.
Before she ships, she contacts me to say she erred, band is 18k not plat. Offerred to refund, cancel sale.
I told her I was less excited, since I have a nickel allergy, so I avoid most white gold, but I really wanted to see the ring in person before deciding.
It came today, and I am so conflicted. The emeralds are gorgeous, the baguette diamonds are white, clear, and sparkly. It's a knockout ring.
Do I just keep it? I feel guilty cuz I have other purchases in the works, and really am not sure about wearing wg (I get an itchy rash). On the other hand, it's unique, I love the stones, and it wasn't too expensive.
What would you do?

If it doesn’t cause any skin issues, I’d totally keep it. The duchess cut emeralds are so unique and the design is both fun and gorgeous.

A little 24k apple charm I picked up at my local jewelry store that I visited after 3 months, just makes me happy....hope you are all well, safe, healthy and staying positive!64A33028-A78A-40A1-8F3D-C4698B8CD3BA.jpeg

Lovely ring! How long is the return period? Can you wear it at home (away from other jewellery etc so as not to damage it) to see how your skin copes with the white gold? Ultimately if it does give you any discomfort then I can't see the point of keeping it. Just because it is beautiful - if it unpleasant to wear then you will not enjoy it.

Bought this beauty and now torn if I should go through with my plan to dismantle and make a pendant :lol-2: I also love it for travel/alternative set! A08B8CE9-4E22-4522-9699-D472979DB49F.jpeg

Just gorgeous! Got any details for us?

I went to comment on a couple of you and your finds lately until I realized I was going to have to comment on everyones posts.

Y'all are blowing my mind with your stunning purchases lately.
Such taste and gorgeousness ladies!
:eek2:

Just gorgeous! Got any details for us?

Thank you! It’s not certed but estimated to be 1.09, I/J color and SI clarity which seems to be a good estimate based on what I see. Currently resides in an 18k yg ring with rubies on the sides ::)

Actually I've decided to keep her and I'm talking with my jeweler about reshanking in 18k rose gold!

My latest purchase was a tiny, 18K gold crowned skull pendant with ruby eyes. I wear it at the end of a long, gold chain, so few people ever look closely enough to realize what it is.
