Estimated at 2.8-3ctw. One of the earrings needs a new lever back, which I know my guy can do, so I decided to lowball them and to my surprise they accepted!

The earrings arrived and they are sparkly, and sweet, and so old! Many of the stones have flea bites, but it doesn't appear to affect their performance at all, and the prongs seem to be in good shape.


The bad news is...they don't really fit on my ears. The ear wires are simply too short. There's no clearance between my lobe and the cluster. Don't know if you can see from this really bad photo.


So I'm going to have to figure something out. Looking at these for inspiration.

Once upon a time they may have had lever backs, but no more.

Do you want lever backs or could you just have a longer wire put on? That would probably be the most economical way. Would that be safe enough? I don't have any earrings that are just hooks so don't know if those are prone to falling out.

ETA from the look of the photo is doesn't look to me like any pieces are missing.

It looks like they sawed the enclosure off. I think either way it’s a simple fix! Do you want similar antique sleeper style or do you want them articulated? Would be easy to do when making the repair. They are stunning.

Super easy to add a little hoop and a shepherds hook, though I might want a clasp closure for safety.

I bought these earrings about 2 weeks ago from a member and just picked them up this weekend from the jeweler. I had posts added to the clips, so they are Omega post backs now and not just clips. I think they are really nice!

Those are a wonderful find. Easy enough fix to have some movement in them!
