Coati - We purchased the rings at Morel Jewelers in Minneapolis 33 years ago. The jewelry store disappeared years ago. We liked the bark-like texture, too. That and the N-S:E-W head gave a simple solitaire a little bit of zip. Thanks.

Here on PS...I have seen alot of different beautiful rings...different sizes, shapes, cuts, colors, cuts and settings

And my hunger for eyecandy is always satisfied

. And as much as I love,love, love staring, and drooling over the giant sized sparklies.

There is just a special place in my heart for the more petite sized diamonds. There is just something undeniably classic and sweet about them. I mean who would imagine that such a ''small'' stone could generate such light.


So if you are just as hungry as I am...

post your pictures and stone specs ( if you have them) of your rings w/ 1ct or under center stone. I know when I was searching I loved to look at stones that were in my perspetive range..this would be a good look book for many people...

The diamond was my Great Great Grandmothers,given to her for a 50th anniversary. It is a RB cut in the 40-50''s. I gave it a new home because according to my grandmother,that''s what she would have wanted. PLT Tiffany style knife edge.

Smaller sized diamonds are just so pretty and feminine and for some reason seem extra sparkly to me. Don''t get me wrong, I drool over the big rocks like everyone else! But the littler ones are special. I can''t wait to post my new ring here soon!

Hi everyone, I am happy to add my little 0.48 E/VS1 beauty to this thread. My ring size is about a 4 or 3 3/4.

I wore this ring for about 14 years..and never took a picutre of it until a few days ago. Here is my original pear shape diamond engagement ring. Set in 14k yellow gold, pear is approximately .68 carats, with side diamonds (.18 each).
Unfortunately, this pretty sits in my jewelry box unworn, since receiving my 1.76 carat diamond set in white gold.

The side stones are .20 ctw. The band is 1.5mm. The center stone is .60 carat. I wear a size 7.

I''m in the middle of re-setting my rings... this is what they currently look like. The baguettes on either side of the emerald in the e-ring are being fixed... they should be flush mount and further down the shank. Other than that, it''s perfect!

W-band: 19kt white gold half eternity band. 10 channel set baguette diamonds, total weight .54ct. G, VVS - VS1
E-Ring: 19kt white gold. EC, .54ct, VVS1, I; 4 tapered cut baguettes, .10ct, GVVS2 - HVS1

Here is my set. I have had the center diamond since we were married, 25 years ago. Had it reset, 3 months ago into this white gold set, kind of a combination anniversary present and out of necessity too, since I''ve developed an allergy to yellow gold. The center diamond is a .54 vs1, I color, strong blue florescence. The side stones are vs2 g and total .47. My finger is a size 7. The pictures are not the greatest, it''s so much whiter looking and sparkly in person, but we can''t seem to capture that on the camera. I wouldn''t trade that center diamond in for anything though, it has so much sentimental value, and I just love it. Maybe a bigger rhr someday though
