11 Carat Honker!

OMG! OMG! OMG! I just have to post this here! (Sorry) Yesterday I was out looking at eternity bands to see what I''d like and in one of the jewelry stores..right there in the case..was an 11 carat EC diamond just smiling and waving at me "

". After I embarrassed myself by drooling all over the place she asked me if I wanted to try it on. Well, OF COURSE! I was so nervous with it on I can''t remember what she said the specs on it were..I don''t even know what they were asking for it. I do know that it wasn''t white white..a very warm color but not fancy...good grief! It was HUGE! I never thought I''d like an EC that wasn''t white white but in all honesty I''d have taken that in a heart beat!

They had some pretty cool eternity bands too. Tried one on that was off-set ovals. Ooooooooooooo

Umm valeria....is that YOUR honker? OMG, IT''S GORGEOUS!!!! Look at the colors in that EC! Whew...I need to pick my jaw up from off the floor!

Nope... (mentioned above).

No idea what the stone picked up in the photo - it is a "normal" 20 carat L color with no rainbows inbuilt. Just about as white as white wine

Now... if my memory is ok, a couple of your rings might match the price tag of something over 10 carat with that kind of color. Actually, in the last post you mention a 5 carat round. When did THAT happen ?

I must admit that it was amazing! And did it look huge??? OMG! It swallowed my hand!

Valeria-your description of the ''white wine'' color is very close. It was a warm color but not a fancy yellow color. (There really needs to be a drool smiley on here, lol). I tried doing a search for something close to it and the closest thing I found was a 11.28ct, J, vs2 (it was probably an si1 because I saw a few ''specks''), for $113,000 to $114,000+

I can''t believe they let me put it on........

You mean the post to Mara? No I didn''t get a different RB...that one is still 3.94 ct. I was talking about the 5 ct EC (in my avatar) and the fancy yellow radiant.

Yeah... there isn't much below J in this database. Haven't noticed that until now.

IMO, the tradeoff between 4 carat D and 10 catat M is not settled in advance
