I know, I procrastinated!
But I finally started putting these together, luckily for me it''s a pretty small wedding, so I''ll have plenty of time to assemble everything.

Flip!
It''s a very simple program, just the basic info.

I love lotuses, and they''re a visual theme for the wedding. I have a pair embroidered on my dress, and the design on the program is on the invites, escort cards, etc.

Oy...so much work between now and the wedding.

I also love the lotuses! And the color looks like it will match your dress perfectly.

WOW!! WTG. Those are great!!!

And BTW, I had to make my programs the NIGHT BEFORE THE REHEARSAL!!! (My church was supposed to be doing them, but that fell through. AND, I have a wedding planner!! SOOOOOOO mad...)

ETA: Oops!!! I guess I meant to say I "had" a wedding planner! WOW...guess I'm NOT out of that mode yet. LOL

Wow, I would have totally blown a fuse at the planner!

Thanks for the compliments guys! They were actually super easy to make, so I''m happy.

I love them!

Did you do that lotus design yourself? It''s gorgeous!

Thanks! Yes, I did the lotus myself, it''s on my invites too, hehe. I wanted it to look like those Chinese paper cut outs, but I don''t think the effect quite came through. It''s still pretty though, so that''s ok.

I love the color combination, it reminds me of my dining room colors, coral isn''t it? Here is a photo, buttercream on bottom, coral above. Ignore the dayglo placemats; they are not like that IRL.

The color is actually a deep "firecracker" red, and the paper is cream colored. Red and gold are the traditional Chinese wedding colors, but I didn''t want to be too heavy with the gold out of fear it''d look really garish, so I went with a quieter cream instead.

Interestingly, white is the color of mourning in China, which made decorations tricky because every time I see large amounts of white flowers, it reminds me of my grandpa''s funeral. I remember flipping through the florists look-book of church decor and thinking "funeral, funeral, really fancy funeral, funeral..."

ooh lovely programs.. you must be so excited that the wedding is fast approaching...

The programs look great.

Pink Tower-I love your pooch peeking around the corner in the photo!

MTG,
It is funny how the camera changes colors. But your programs are lovely. I sometimes look in this section for no reason, except that all the pretty pictures seem to be posted here. The colors can inspire even those of us who are not planning a wedding.
I really love the combination you have with the lotus. I bought a very expensive lotus ( well, like $50., to me that is expensive)
for my fishpond one year but it did not ''come back'' the next year. I have also had no luck with the less expensive ones. They are just so delicate looking.

Mayachel,
Thanks about the dog. She is nosy....
I love your ring, and I have not seen it before.
Are there more photos somewhere?

Thanks Pink Tower,

I wanted lotuses as decorations, but it was WAY too pricey, so I"m making some origami ones instead!

And we are doing these for centerpieces, they kind of have a lotus-y feel to them (even though they obviously aren''t lotuses!)

Those are very cool! You are so talented, MTG!

Thanks PrincessPlease!

If you ever want a hand with any crafty projects, let me know, I love this stuff!

Hey, I made origami decorations too!

The programs look great. Mine were just a regular folded piece of paper printed on front and back; I''m too lazy to put any more effort into it.

So if I have about 90 guests, think 70 programs are enough? At least half the guests are part of a couple..

I think 70 programs is more than enough. We had 100 programs for about 200 people, and we had quite a few left over.

Your programs are beautiful, by the way! Love the lotus theme, and love your origami lotuses.

Oh, and don''t worry about making your programs 12 days before--I made mine 6 days beforehand with the help of some bridesmaids. Do you have any helpers you can enlist?

They look fantastic!!

I am getting started on our programs so I keen on checking out ideas! Thanks for sharing!!!

No helpers, but I''ve already made 65 programs :) I picked a pretty easy style, so I made them pretty quick. Now..on to the menus! Sigh, it never ends!
