Once in a while you stumble upon THE stone, THE ring, the one you just have to have. There were no questions when I saw this baby for sale.

It is a Victorian ring from around the 1880's is what the vendor thought. It comes with a GIA cert. stating it is unheated. I am utterly mesmerized by this baby and can't believe it is here! I traded in a ruby ring I had previously bought from the vendor and have been paying off the balance in the last few months. It is such a special ring with so much magic happening in it. So many amazing inclusions. It is a phenomenal stone from Sri Lanka - GIA called it blue changing to purple on the cert. It is set in rose gold with rose cut diamonds on the sides. I wish I could know who owned this ring before! There were no markings on the band.20220810_163426.jpg20220810_163426.jpg

That's so cool!
 It looks like you got it from somebody very important. We don't know how yet, but it's an adventure story for sure. Indiana Jones magic stone like.

Or someone else really into magic and mystery right? I don't think the stone itself would have been crazy expensive with all of it's inclusions. There are so many cleaner sapphire cabs from then with better stars. I feel like the whoever owned this used to look at it like a crystal ball! It reminds me of an old beach glass marble I found a week ago!

@icy_jade if you look up star sapphire rings on 1st Dibs so many gorgeous ones come up with cleaner stars - they have corresponding prices though! Lol!

It's so beautiful. I think this sapphire stands on its own with no need for a star!

Truly impressive in both size and color!

Now I KNOW you have 18 videos of that stone on your phone..in the sun in the house in the window ..doing dishes in the laundry room in the car.. and I want them all. Im not greedy..im obsessed. I cannot EVEN with this. It belongs in a glass case in a museum and I'm standing in front of it wiping a tiny tear from my eye.. CONGRATULATIONS!!! this stone? magic.. And let me be the first to tell you my darling girl, keep an eye on it and make sure you put it away in the same place you always do, because the fae will make sure to snipe it for their very own. Magical indeed.

Thanks for making my day @blingmeupscotty , truly! My husband and I were just having our morning coffee on the couch and he was asking me what was so special about that sapphire ring when I am paying off another smaller faceted one. Your message came at the right time and I just feel like crying. You understand how special it is and you helped him see it too. I promise to take the best care of this magical ring. Hubby agreed with you- I should have a set, special place for it. Thank you for bringing me up when I was so down and second guessing myself and my purchases.
