1ct + ring for circa €2000? Impossible?

eeek @weemie check this out!! Smaller than you wanted but a Harry Winston?!

Just wanted to mention that small business vendors on IG may not always do international shipping because they may not have the insurance to do so.

The picture you posted in post #27 is a very poorly cut diamond. I'd strongly recommend getting a slightly smaller better cut diamond. You will not find a good diamond at a carat for $2400 USD unless you go with a very low color and clarity stone.

That’s in Dublin and in budget. Maybe gives overall “look” of one carat? I’m not finding a 1ctw solitaire diamond without import tax in your desired budget. (But I love a challenge)

Oh gosh, is it very poorly cut? I thought it looked so good! How can you tell?

Maybe check out premiergemstones on Instagram, Alex has a lot of +/- 1.0 carats around the price range you are looking for. I never bought from him, but his stuff looks amazing.

Oh this too! I’m amazed at how many beautiful sites there are on insta!

When you look at a diamond from the top, you want to see a nice, symmetrical facet pattern. Here's an example, but there are more. You need to look at a lot of well cut diamonds in order to recognize one. If you go to Show Me the Bling, you'll see a lot of well cut diamonds posted. Start here and go back a few pages.

Wow that thread was so beautiful, I was enthralled!

So I found this.....it’s a bit over budget, and has a 1ct centre stone, SI 1, F colour. What do you guys think?

Here’s some pictures of it on the sellers hand. It’s very different from what I’ve looked at before but it’s got great finger coverage! I’m wondering if it’s too bling. I’d love to hear what you guys think!

Is the stone certified? Are there other pictures of the stone itself that would help us see the faceting pattern?

That’s all I have at the moment, it’s hallmarked Shane?

Unfortunately without a certification you have no idea what you are buying. I wouldn't buy this.

They have thousands of positive reviews on Etsy so I guess I was lulled into a false sense of security, it’s a pity because it looks like a lot of bang for my buck!

Something is only a bang for your buck if the stone is well cut and has a certificate so you know what you're buying. If it's a horrible stone that's actually H color and I1 clarity or worse, then it's not actually a good deal

Did you see this one?

I was looking in Dublin for you; are willing to pay import taxes from other areas?

Oh thank you!! Yes indeed, I’m willing to pay the taxes for the right ring!
