2.3 carats red spinel ring in antique setting, open to offers

Hi,

Due to rising energy costs, am having to part with some items. I like the stone very much so am in two minds about selling it, but open to offers. Please see louptroup for details:

Has some inclusions and chips and abrasions on facets but a nice coloured spinel in a nice size. Not sure if stone is original to the setting.

@ItsMainelyYou, @CaseyLouLou - you mentioned before to let you know if I put it up for sale so here it is - may not be to your liking as it's not a perfect stone by PS standards

I just wanted to say you might be limiting yourself to potential (serious) buyers by not stating a price at all.
I think plenty of people won’t want to throw blind offers at you without knowing what ballpark you want to be at. You know, possibly thinking they might be offending you by unintentionally lowballing.
Or some might shy away having the feeling “bidding” and “rebidding” is going on over a period of time.

Yes you may be right, but not sure myself what to ask for as the price I paid was at an auction, which would be below retail, but on the other hand, I am looking at a reasonably quick sale (before I change my mind ). Also, selling it at a public auction might be an idea but I'd only get 2/3rds of the hammer price and with spinels, it's really hard to predict how they sell, at least in the UK!
