I splashed out on these this week, unexpectedly. I love the way they are faceted to look like diamonds although they're only silver. Lots of time to look at jewelry on my laptop right now. It turns out that Elsa Peretti has this fun range called One Carat necklace or Two Carat earrings etc, and they are all just metal faceted to look like a diamond. They are very sparkly in real life. I tried on the rose gold Two Carat necklace and it was gorrrgeous, but too much for me at $700.

Darn, I can't find the silver ones on the website but here are the rose gold ones, so you can see the concept. I think it's kinda fun! http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?sku=31914493

The first photo below shows the mirror sparkles on the Tiffany box.

Continued. Sorry about the crappy earshots. They were the best I could do. Anyway, the earrings are very large and sparkly in real life. Great substitute!

I've never seen those before - thanks for sharing! There is something so decadent about splurging at Tiffany's. I bet it was great fun!

Very cool! So different.

Wow those a very different...kinda of cool looking.

I've never seen anything like that.

It'd be interesting to see the rose gold one.

Thanks Rosebloom, chemgirl, diamondrnglover, and iota15. Rosebloom, yes it was fun to splurge!

iota, the rose gold pendant in this range was really stunning. The way the metal is cut, with light bouncing off the "facets" makes all items in the range really sparkly. I haven't seen the yellow gold pendant but apparently it's a One Carat so much smaller than the rose gold Two Carat. For some reason, the silver pendant (which is Two Carat) didn't grab me. I feel like the center facet was gray. I actually asked the SA if it was coated in anything, but it wasn't.

Anyway, there's a couple of things I want to get before I'm done with jewelry-buying for a while, and the rose gold Two Carat wasn't on the list, so I can't get it at $700. Maybe a year from now or something! But I'd highly recommend it. It was just beautiful.

Those are really pretty.

So creative to facet metal into diamond! They look lovely on you :appl:

I love these. The design is just so smart. They look amazing! Tiffany's designs are just fantastic!

Congrats on your find!

Ohhh I love these, they're really pretty Jambalaya! Always special and fun to get something in the blue box :appl: Enjoy them!

Thanks, everyone who has replied! Someone at Tiffany has a sense of humor. I love the way they faceted the metal like diamonds and then called the items "Two Carat Necklace" etc!

The photos don't show them off very well, because they make the silver look gray when it's not. They're really sparkly though - great substitute!

I'm buying a couple of things in the sales tomorrow so I really shouldn't have bought them. Oh well. Yolo! (As the youth say.)

I wish for someone to buy the rose gold Two Carat necklace and then I can live vicariously through their purchase! It was really sparkly and gorgeous - very tasteful and substantial.

If anybody wants to get it and post lots and lots of pictures, it's an Elsa Peretti design....a snip at $700...two-carat size...no one else will have one...you'll be the envy of your friends :naughty:
