I like 1, 5, and 8. Of all of these, 8 is probably my favorite, because I prefer simple, understated dresses with some sort of strap. The small amount of beading on the train is nice! The halter in 5 also looks great on you. I don''t love the "fan favorite" #4 because I''m not a fan of lace, and I don''t think it does anything for you.

ilovesparkles - who invited FMIL? Were you just trying to be nice and include her or did you say she would
like to go dress shopping with you?

To limit having to deal with FMIL - only go to 1 shop, only try on a few dresses then do something else like
go to lunch or something. Oh, and dont take anything she says seriously! Good luck!

#4 stood out for me right away

4 and 9 spoke to me the most. I don''t think you can go wrong with either!

No ugh about fair skin! Fair skin is absolutely gorgeous in wedding gowns!!!! Keep the sunscreen ON to get rid of the farmer tan. I love this lotion because it has sunscreen, alpha hydroxy, and it doesn''t make you feel all greasy! You might want to give it a try. I buy it at Long''s (which has recently turned into CVS.)

Still lovin number 1, btw.

What''s this about FMIL? Maybe she needs to sit out the next dress shopping trip?

Thanks House Cat! The problem with my farmer''s tan, is that I already have one, from last year. Its years and years on wearing mostly t-shirts and the occasional tank top during the summer. It never goes away. Now I will get more tan during the summer, more like pink and then it fades, or burnt. Because no matter how much sunscreen I use, I''m just ridiculously fair, and it doesn''t matter. So this summer, I may play around with self tanner, as I more or less refuse to fake tan at a salon or anything. Any recommendations for self tanner? Lol!
I refuse to recommend a self tanner!

Just due to my love of fair skin against wedding gowns...

Check out this bride. SO beautiful and in white too! Fair Bride in White Knottie Bio

Hope that inspires you to use SPF 2000! I would if I weren''t permanently RED (thanks rosacea!)

Much love to you sparkles!

Thanks, that is quite a different look! But, its hard to explain I guess. I already have the farmer''s tan, I have it in the dead of winter. My arms and chest are just pinker year round from always wearing t-shirts. So my shoulders are staunch white in comparison and it looks really weird! Anyone else have suggestions?

Honestly, I''m not noticing it in any of your pictures, so unless it''s something that really seriously bothers you greatly, I say don''t even worry about it. Wearing sun block is a must though when you''re really fair, regardless of trying to even out funny tan lines! Of course, I''m whiter than Casper the friendly ghost, so I might have reason to be a little paranoid, haha!
