Hi!
Just wondering what people think. (I am trying to post this as a poll, but it doesn''t look right - hope it does to you all!)

When you get a 3 stone ring, did/would/should you:

- Wear it on your left hand in place of your engagement ring and/or wedding band
- Wear it as a RHR, keep wearing your wedding set on left hand
- Either is OK
- It depends on whether the 3 stone ring was intended as an upgrade of your original e-ring or not

I''m just curious on people''s take on this. After using a family stone to create a 3 stone ring which I wear as a RHR, I''ve had several people comment on my "two engagement rings."

I have a 2 Carat TW three stone ring I recieved as a 10th Anniversary gift from DH last year. I wear it on my right hand. Sometimes if I don''t want to wear my E-ring, which was recently reset (see avatar) I wear the 3stone ring with my plain gold band on my ring finger.

I have a three stone ring that I wear as a RHR. It''s got a yellow sapphire center though, so not sure how many ppl would assume it was an ering.

its your ring so wear it on whatever finger you want! and whenever you want to wherever you want.

If it replaced my e-ring, I''d wear it with or w/o my wedding band on my left hand. If it''s an addition ... either way.

People say weird stuff no matter what you do. No one is immune! In your situation I''d either tell the "family stone" story or just say "Yup, that''s from my OTHER husband".

I vote for either is ok.

I have a 3 stone ring which i wear on my left hand with my eternity ring. On the days I want to wear my emerald cut solitaire, i wear my 3 stone ring on my right hand (it''s a little tight tho'').

Have fun mixing and matching!

I think either is ok! I wasn''t a fan of the 3 stones until I took my daughter to our jeweler to get her ears pierced for her 9th birthday. There they had a gorgeous 3 stone princess cut yellow gold ring. I loved it even though I never wear yellow gold and thought the ''past present future'' rings were a Kay Jewelers gimmick. I told my husband that afternoon that I definitely wanted that ring (or similar to it) but the three stones would represent our three kids. Someday

But I think either is ok and you could change it everyday depending on your mood.

I was given a three stone ring for my 28th anniversary and since the center stone was bigger than my previous engagement ring diamond I decided to wear it on my left hand by itself as my wedding band. I had my old diamond put in a new setting to wear as a right hand ring. As others have stated though, anything goes!

LOL, I love it!

There is no "should" answer to this. You "should" do whatever you want to!

That being said, when I get my 3 stone ring (which I am very impatiently waiting for!) I am going to wear it on my left hand in place of my e-ring/wedding band. I will probably mix it up and some days wear the 3 stone and others wear the set. For me, it's a long story but I consider my 3 stone ring to be my true wedding ring.

ETA: I have friends that received 3 stone rings as annversary rings (as most of us are passing the 5 year mark) that wear them on their right hands b/c the center stone is smaller than their e-rings, and I also have friends that have 3 stone rings as e-rings (with a nice sized center stone). So anything really goes.

When I wear my 3 stone ring, I usually wear it on my left hand with an eternity-type ring. (12 stones that are 3 points each.) I don''t think it looks right by itself on my left hand.

When I wear my wedding ring on my left hand, I wear the 3 stone ring as a right-hand-ring without the eternity band.

My center diamond in my 3 stone ring is bigger than the center diamond in my wedding ring. (If that matters, lol.)

I usually decide which ring to wear on my left hand based on my clothes. My 3 stone has sapphire sides, so it wins when I''m wearing blue.

a 3 stone ring represents....past, present, and future HUSBANDS.
the center stone represents your present husband. the side stones... one represents your EX husband and the other represents your future husband.

Hey now, don''t drag me into this!

But now that you mention it, there is a reason my 12 stone band of 3 pointers is not a full eternity. I didn''t want to commit for that long.

Hi, I think it''s up to you how you wear your rings!

A lot of people on PS have a few weddings bands and ''erings'' whether an original ering or an upgrade or a combination of these and wear them in combination depending on what they are doing that day and how they feel.

I wear my 3 stone on my left hand as it''s my official ering, but I may get a solitaire as a right hand ring - who knows! The ring my husband proposed with is a plain 4mm white gold wedding ring that I wear by itself when I want something more rugged for sailing etc.
