I was surprised to see this thread come back to life. Yes, I did actually buy it, and got certificates for it and everything. However, a while later, I went ahead and sold it to put the money toward some other stones. I was sad to part with it, but happy to have the money to use towards other gems. I didn’t lose money.

more Paraiba eye candy - What do you think?

Thought I'd share this Brazilian Paraiba Tourmaline...I love the color. 4.43 ct. I also love the bamboo-like setting with baguette diamonds. Nice smaller 3.26 Paraiba cab too, I'm becoming a fan of Paraiba cabs. What do you think of the these? Opinions would be appreciated.

Windows: on rare stones, are they more forgivable? And...

Are some stones more susceptible to them? Or is it completely a result of cut? If the price is good on a gem, and that was its only flaw, would you forgive a window? And try to close it with the setting? Of course, I'm not talking Sotheby's or Christie's worthy pieces, but ones average CS...

Ok, I managed to get a couple decent neck shots. The lighting in my house isn’t ideal. I realize some of the stones have some big windows, but they don’t show so badly when you are wearing it. The black makes the windows pretty pronounced. Anyway, it sparkles nicely.
