Did I do good? It is a 3.50 ct Aquamarine set in 14kwg fillagree setting. I can''t wait to get it. I can''t believe I won!! I was so nervous watching the end of the auction that I could barely type in my bid!! LOL!

CCN,
What are those fine lines running through the aqua? Are they internal to the stone? Do they break the surface?
The colour is fab though! Not to mention the setting.

Honesty, I didn''t ask.........but I assume they are inclusions, which is fine by me. I like to have my gemstones to have a little character and something to identify it by! I am not worried that it is not real. I can return it if need be! The setting alone is worth what I paid for it!!

Oh I LOVE the color AND the setting! It will be interesting to see what those lines are when you get it. I hope it works out for you!

What a gorgeous old cut! Just judging from the pictures, I''d guess faint abrasions to the facets junctures before I''d guess inclusions ... but they certainly don''t take away from the effect. Beautiful!

Gorgeous! The color is really stunning and I LOVE the setting!

Cool setting! The fine "lines" look like abraded facet junctions reflecting in the stone--common in an old stone. Pretty color! All blown up, the abrasions can be seen, but I bet life sized--not too noticeable.

Can't wait for more pics when you receive the ring!

YOu all have eagle eyes! The color is so mesmerizing, I really didn''t notice the abrasions until I looked a bit closer. I don''t mind though. Like you said Coati, I may not notice those so much IRL! I will certainly take more pics.....but I applaud the seller for taking such awesome pics!!

So what is your next project?... the aqua or the 3 stone OEC ring/ reset? I know that you will do something fantatic with them no doubt!! It would be hard to decide which is next??? They are both gorgeous!!

Hi TL!

The seller said the setting was a victorian reproduction piece...so I assume that it is not vintage. It did not state how old the stone is though. It appears to be abbrated, so it quite possibly could be vintage..........and the fact that it is faceted like an OEC, has me a little curious. Not so curious to pay to find out! It would take away from the bargain that I got it for.........

Thanks so much Chrono, Catmom,Circe, Hudson Hawk, Coati, Tlh, Linda W, Amber Gretchen, TL, Kaleigh,Harriet, Tacori, dancingflame, diamondseeker, blingaddict, and Mochi! I really appreciate all your compliments since I consider all of you adviseries in the colored stone world!! You all have such STUNNING pieces!!

Your ring is absolutely lovely! I especially like the leaf motif. I just had a gemstone reset in a new setting with a wreath of leaves holding the stone...looks a little bit vintage. I really like it. Enjoy your new ring!
