4.28ct Rhodolite Garnet- Asscher

I have never bought gemstones off ebay before but I heard some good things about vvs1gem. The picture looks very dark but the video they have the stone shows the raspberry pink color that I was really going for.

Depending on the stone when I get it and see it I think I will contact leon and find out about this setting. I think it would look great with the raspberry color.

The cut looks really pretty...but (hopefully I''m not overstepping my bounds by saying this) I''m worried the color will black out. The tweezers in the last photo are super-bright, which means it was photographed in very bright lighting. Hopefully the pics in real life will prove me wrong, but I just wanted to bring this up in case you haven''t paid yet and were still on the fence.

thanks Jstar- no worries at all...i did see that- but like i said before it was the video that sold me. They have a return policy so if I don''t like it then I plan on sending it back. I have another stone cut be gene that is similar, but a cushion and I wanted it to be a little darker so I''m hoping this will work. here is gene''s stone for reference.

I hope the stone will turn out a lot lighter than the 2 pictures you’ve shown because the dark tone concerns me as well. As for the setting, it’s divine and will make any stone set in it a super star!

For Tan''s stones, I rely more on the video than the still shot. I find the video to be more accurate, although I do think his still photos are pretty good. However, it is nice he provides a video.

What a beautiful Rhodolite Garnet! The Asscher cut really brings out the raspberry color, and I think that setting will make the stone pop even more. I have a 8mm cushion Rhodolite (not as spectacular as yours) set in white gold, and I like how the white metal frames the rich hue of the garnet. Can''t wait to see photos of your finished ring.
