Saving Your Pennies For an Engagement Ring?

Just make sure you don''t pay for one in pennies....lol....

O.k. So I am easily amused today!

that is so funny...but great idea...how many times do we pass by pennies on the side walk...and i won''t spend pennies...instead i put all my pennies in a jar at the end of the day...it adds up quick...maybe this is how i''ll pay for my e-ring...by saving the pennies from my BF laundry! heheh...i''ll let him know that when we have about $3000 in pennies it''s time for a proposal...hehehe

You know whats funny is I do save all of my pennies too...Yesterday alone I found 3 quarters and 3 nickels on the ground by my car in a parking lot...I also put all of mine and the SO''s change in a jar.....It really does add up too!

Our friend went with us to NY. He had three of those water jugs (the ones for the machine) full of change. He went to the bank and had $890!!!!

He treated us to dinner in NY

when i took my sister to NY we had lots of change too...thats how we got our spending change... we put a jar at our parents house and they put all their change in it for almost a year...and then my bf gave us all his scratchers...those add up quickly too...he always buys them and never exchanges them for money...so i always pick them up and exchange them about once every 2 months, always about 10 bucks, i''ll put that in the e-ring jar...I think i should put a label on the jar...and maybe a little device to shock people if they try and open it! hehehe...

my bf and i have been saving our pennies too and we''ve saved about $1000 in the last year -- we started rolling it a couple of weeks ago... it''s been a project, but who knew we''d save so much just by putting all of our change in one place?? maybe we can try to buy ours with our rolls of quarters!!

I also wanted to add an experience similar to this that I had! I worked at Old Navy for a while in high school, and on a Sunday morning when it was slower, a couple came in, shopped and picked out probably $100 in clothes. They came to the register to pay, and had a huge tub of change. Not all pennies though - it was all mixed change and loose too! They had been to the casino the night before and apparantly didn''t think to cash it in there.... anyways, it took at least a half hour because they sorted it into dollar stacks while standing at the counter. But, my manager said to take it all, so we did!
