A collection of projects! Spinel, sapphire, coral & topaz

My mum has been extremely busy setting her loose stones. Here are some of her newest acquisitions.

Stones set:

- a medley of black spinel from her collection
- blue sapphires from her collection
- Barry Bridgestock electric blue topaz
- Barry Bridgestock coral cabs
- Jeff Davies rose de France amethyst
- pear Aqua and London blue topaz sourced from Mochiko

She also set a few of my learner stones for me (pear spess, chryso to match my e-ring and garnet).

My favourites are the black spinel earrings and pear ring, the coral set and the aqua & topaz ring set with sapphire melee!

Congratulations on your engagement, what a beautiful and special ring you have. It looks incredible on your beautiful hands.

How do the pendants work? The bails? (correct word?) look unusual to me- sorry if I am being dense... it is late...

I really love that black spinel ring... the coral stuite is nice, too- it is all beautiful

Fantastic Ricezo! How nice to have your mother joining you in your interest in gems! I can't decide which piece I like best, but those coral earrings sure are calling my name... And I love the idea of getting gems set as suites.

How lovely, Ricezo. I had no idea that the love of stones and jewelry is something you have been privileged to share with your Mom. I love that for you! You have such great sets there with earrings and rings. I'm not sure which one is the ring with topaz and sapphires, but I love the BB topaz ring and love the diversity.

Ricezo your mom has great taste. I love all of them, but the coral pieces are my favorite. I just love that pop of color. But I would still be happy to wear any of these pieces and think I would be reaching for the black spinel on most days.

So many fun beautiful pieces and beautiful pieces! Isn't it great to share a love for jewelry with your mother? Mine started taking me to Intergem shows 30 years ago. Unfortunately, we didn't have the internet to educate us then. Now that she doesn't work, she has become addicted to watching JTV

(I'm actually a little jealous that you get to share the fun and enjoyment with your mother. It's so awesome your mum also likes jewelry, too!)

That black pear halo ring and the BB coral cab suite immediately drew my attention - they look so high end and stylish. You've done so well with all your pieces.

I have to say also that I get so envious of your beautiful hands, too. Lucky girl

It really is nice to shares this interest with mum. The only problem is we have different ring sizes so I can't *borrow* her stuff!

apacherose - I think the bails work normally? The design is just a bit more detailed on two of them. Will try to take a better pic tomorrow.

Acinom - yes I have a number of chains of varying lengths so can mix it up!

Minousbijoux - here is a pic of the Aqua/topaz/sapphire ring. I like the asymmetrical design.

swissmiss - mum uses a jeweller based in Chiangmai, Thailand. She has purchased a number of pieces from this jeweller on previous trips but this was the first time she had pieces commissioned. The jeweller's name is Joob at Jewel Empress. I'm not sure if they have a site.
