Well, as many can guess - I am a Mrs. and have been happily for some time now!

All of you ladies with your beautiful wedding photos persuaded me to add a few of my own! I love browsing through all of yours, weddings are such a happy time, and photos really exude that!

I''ll start it with the old church we were married at...I was baptized there and attended till I moved in with DH while engaged.

Another, with DH''s truck...

Some of the sanctuary flowers...

The mums were a deep vibrant red...

The pew wreaths...

The groomsmen/ushers were re-assebling the rest of them, one of the young boys decided to have a hay day in the flower box!!

My bouquet and a little bling...

I had deep red roses (black baccarat, merlot, and some other kind...derrr?) and dark burgundy carnations (as a nod to both our mothers'' wedding bouquets) with shots of lime green. The maids had the same, minus the black baccarat.

My something old was a part of my grandmothers silk shawl that was wrapped around the stems of my bouquet.

Here''s us on our way to do some photos outside... I had a cathedral veil that was my something borrowed!

I can''t believe I forgot this...this was one of many cool stained-glass photos they took.

Our cake...

It was the best Red Velvet on the face of the earth! Filled with chocolate ganache...

More cake...

Our reception was held in the Hearth Room in a local log cabin steakhouse...coming from a small town, there often aren't many options for big events! We had about 280 squished in there...

You can see the centerpieces...all of our friends and family came to our home and carved those baby's the night before rehersal so each one was different! It was a blast, our garage floor would argue otherwise, and we had toasted pumpkin seeds as favors, along with donations to the American Cancer Society in honor of family members passed on.

ETA: those beer signs were NOT part of our reception! lol!

Dancing the first dance....

Another that isnt in chronological order... our ring boxes. Near the entrance to the sanctuary we had a small table with photos of our parents'' and grandparents'' wedding days.

And lastly, our pumpkin centerpieces...

Here''s one done in mongram form...

You can get the feeling of our day,

It was "down home, small town couple" type of day. Our menu was comfort foods! It started with mixed greens, mandarine oranges, sugared almonds, scallions in a champagne vinagrette, chicken breast stuffed with wild rice and cranberry stuffing wrapped in pastry, GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE - my fav, homemmade pop-overs, roasted rosemary new potatoes, mint-lime sherbert to clean palate, and cake!

We wanted the reception to really be about our family and friends. They are the ones who loved supported us each while growing up and the people who will continue to inspire us along the way. This was about them - a party to honor all the people who made us into who we were up until that day. Nothing too stuffy and uncomfortable (DH''s extended family grew up on farms and the thought of a black tie affair really shook them up

)

It really was a great day! Thanks for letting me share a few photos with you all! My "few photos" turned out to be a bit longer than anticipated...that''s how it always goes...lol

I love the pumpkins! I think that I might have to steal that idea... Your pictures are wonderful!

Great pics!!! You looked beautiful! We had the same color scheme!

Thanks for sharing, these photos were great! I also love the pumpkin centerpieces, how unique and very personal since you all carved them the night before! And toasting the pumpkin seeds as favors is a GREAT idea! It seems like it was very warm and intimate, even for such a large wedding, which is fantastic!

I''m assuming you were married in October, which means you should have an anniversary coming up :)

Thanks ladies! It means so much to hear such kind words after seeing all of YOUR gorgeous days! I love weddings!

How long have you been married, and happy anniversary!

Everything looked beautiful, and I loved your pumpkin centerpieces!!! Such a cute idea!

Those are some FANTASTIC pictures!!! You both look so happy.

As a side note, you made my mouth water twice... first with the cake description/pictures, and then hearing about the green bean casserole
