I am going to propose soon and recently stumbled upon a high caliber diamond. Please note that I took lots of y'all's advise to finally find one that packed all the essentials with out breaking the bank. Now that I have a diamond? I'm thinking about getting this setting. Do y'all know about A Jaffe, is it a reputable brand that stands out in engagement jewelry?

Also, would a 1.41ct diamond look odd in that particular setting. Would the side stones be too big? Please let me know your advise.

Thank you in advance.

They have a good reputation as far as I know but I haven't seen their work in person. If it was my ring, at that price point, I would have someone like Whiteflash or Brian Gavin make a similar ring (they both have similar rings in stock). Then you'd know you were getting he absolute top diamond cut quality for the side stones which is important for a ring like that. I think that will be a lovely setting for a 1.4 carat center stone.

Thank you for your response. I wasn't sure if the ratio would throw off the beauty of the center stone.

If anyone has any experience with jaffe, please let me know.

Thanks again!

I've seen A Jaffe settings, and they are quite nice. But if you want the fine sharp claw-like prongs, I would go with BGD or WF, and tell them specifically what you want. As for the side stones, I don't think the side stones would overwhelm the center stone, but you have to like the look. I have a similar kind of style of ring, and sometimes I like it and sometimes I wish I had smaller side stones. It varies.
