Has anyone dealt with A K Jewelers on Sampson St in Philly? I have an antique ring missing a rose cut diamond, and they offered to fix it, but I don''t want to mail it 6 hours from home unless someone can recommend them.

A&K is directly opposite my offices on Sansom St. We often give them special order work to make mountings and sometimes also repair work. They can be very good. A lot depends on the condition of the existing item. You cannot make a like new item out of a worn out one. No miracles.

Try to deal directly with Arthur. He is the one who can make good things happen.
