A little nervous...Butterflies and all

So as most of you know, I have been with Eric for almost 3 years. (3 years in Feb) Things have been WONDERFUL!! Bad days, good days, and GREAT days. I feel so very lucky.

ANYWAY!! hehe

Today I spent the day with my best friend. We saw my boyfriend at the mall (he works security) and I noticed they had a "secret code" thing. Now I know what you may be thinking..."OMG Erin, he is cheating..." But it''s totally not. They did it 3 different times today and everytime they asked they gave me silly excuses. Goodness... haha

So because I am a bratty nosey girl, I interrogated my best friend when my boyfriend went back to work. hehe After the whole, "Come on Reagan, I am you BEST friend - just tell me" she came out and said "Well Erin...Lets just say he is working REALLY hard for you Christmas gift and it may not be ''the one I chose'' but he is planning an upgrade."

Ummmmmm... OMG!!

Now I feel a little silly... Obviously I hope this is "it" but at the same time I am petrified of getting my hopes up. You know?? So yeah... For the time being I am just going to try to bring it up and not get my hopes up.

BUT... I am totally giddy with butterflies in my stomach and a little nervous.

I just wanted to share my little story because I KNOW you all will understand and have great things to say. Thank you in advance. I''ll keep you all updated in the next week.

So after thinking about it last night and thinking maybe I should sleep on it... I woke up and tried to rationalize things to my best ability. You know, the whole "Maybe it''s just something like a ring but NOT a ring...blah blah blah". haha And then I realied thanks to Glyeck and Emilina22 that I shouldn''t have to rationalize anything. If it happens then GREAT!! And if not, then no problem - it will be soon. Not to mention all you ladies are some of the best ladies EVER. I know that however it goes, I will be able to recieve support from each and every one of you. hehe

So here we go. I have major butterflies. hehe

Oh, I''d totally be thinking that too. BUT, remember! Try to focus on OTHER things, so you don''t risk ruining the holidays by letting any possible disappointment overshadow time with your honey. Easier said than done, I know, but I think you can do it.

Thankfully, it''s CHRISTMASTIME, the most insanely-busy time of the year! Should be a piece of cake to keep yourself completely occupied, but if it isn''t, be sure to tell me--I''ll have you go out and buy me lots of presents to keep your mind off *other* things.

Erin - That is a great story. I completely understand why you would have butterflies! I would as well!

It may sound strange but try to enjoy this moment in your life - the suspense, the anticipation and the butterfly feeling. It is exciting! Once it''s over, granted you will have other things to be excited about but you will never feel this same feeling again. It''s fun.

This being said ... I am going to sprinkle you with tons of PS fairy dust! ... I''ve read in other posts something about a "magic" manicure ... Have you been for a manicure this recently? As far as I understand it, getting this manicure is like a diamond pulling magnet drawing that ering closer and closer to your finger.

How exciting Miss Erin! It seems like things could be really coming together. And, I think it is great that he enlisted your best friend for help. I am basically in the same boat with the excitement and the waiting and as much as I can''t wait for the proposal, I agree with previous posts that this is a fun fun time! My "magic manicure" is scheduled for this upcoming Wednesday... it has worked for others so I would recommend it!

Update!!

Soooooooo... I was talking to my Best Friend again about "the gift" and it does not appear that I am getting a ring for Christmas. No wait!! Don''t frown!! I''m seriously ok I PROMISE!! hehe

He is actually getting me a necklace from what I gather. Still VERY VERY sweet.

Now here is why I am not REALLY sad or upset...

Eric has put a downpayment on my DREAM ring and has been planning with my Best Friend. (She is getting frustrated with him though because he is REALLY bad at secrets and always tries to be ''sneaky'' when I am standing right there - like I don''t notice!! haha) So I am thinking with the way things are going maybe it will be February (which holds our 3 year anniversary and my birthday) or March.

So I still have time, but not a lot. hehe That''s why I am not sad. It is coming and no matter what, I know when the time it right, it will happen. Why be sad when I know it will be here in a few short months anyway!! hehe

So thank you to EVERYONE for the sweet reponses and helpful hints!! All you ladies are so so so darling!! I am so blessed to have all of you behind me in this process!!

Now, lets focus on the amazing girls that have a ring coming soon!! hehe Send the Pixie Proposal Dust to them.
