What time do you expect it to be over?
Ended at 3:00
What time do you expect the reception to start?
Started at 5:00. The latest the church could hold the ceremony was 2:00 and the earliest we could start the reception was 5:00. This was because the country club used the space to serve lunch until 3:00 and needed time to set up for the reception after the lunch crowd cleared out. We provided suggestions of things to do for our guests during the two hour break. The bridal party took pictures during this time. It was perfect because hubby and I didn''t miss any of the reception.
How far of a drive is it to the reception site from the ceremony site?

What time will your ceremony start? 4:00

What time do you expect it to be over? by 5 or 5:15 depending on when it starts

What time do you expect the reception to start? 6:30 to allow enough travel time

How far of a drive is it to the reception site from the ceremony site? we're giving 2 sets of directions, the shorter way driving through boston is exactly 30 min., we drove it to check. For those wary of Boston roads (they're windy) we're giving alternate directions, which will take about 45 min, but we will leave enough time to get there before the reception starts

What time are you anticipating it to end? 11:30

edited as we've settled on our church

we didnt know if we'd go with the closer-to-the-reception roman catholic one, but we've decided to stick to our roots, since we're both Melkites

We are having a very small wedding though, and our reception consists of just dinner and dessert - no dancing, band, or anything like that - so it''s probably different from others'' timetables!

What time will your ceremony start? 3:30

What time do you expect it to be over? Ummm...3:35?

It's going to be very short and to the point, but my fiance's dad is going to play erhu (a Chinese instrument) for a few minutes in the middle, so it might end up lasting like 10 minutes total?

What time do you expect the reception to start? As soon as the ceremony ends, we're thinking we'll have lemonade and fruit and cheese out, then start serving drinks and passed appetizers maybe 4:30-ish, then open up the buffet at maybe 5:30?

How far of a drive is it to the reception site from the ceremony site? Same place

What time are you anticipating it to end? Probably pretty late...it's a destination-ish wedding so no one will have anywhere else to go! But since we're starting early, I doubt it'll be toooo late...I'd guess 10 or 11 probably?

It's going to be at my family's summer house in upstate NY so we're really just trying to make a fun vacation weekend out of it for everyone, so it's more about hanging out with people than having traditional Wedding Events for us.

What time will your ceremony start?
We''re not too sure, as we have an appointment with the hotel we want on Monday. Hopefully about 11am.

What time do you expect it to be over?

God willing (ironically, not a religious wedding), a half an hour.

What time do you expect the reception to start?

Well, this I''m totally not sure about- maybe 12, or 12:15?

How far of a drive is it to the reception site from the ceremony site?

Same place, since we''re having a casual ceremony, we figured why not just have it at the same site? It''ll make it easier for everyone involved.

What time are you anticipating it to end?

Maybe 5 or 6. It''s going to be a daytime wedding, indoors. I want plenty of time for my hubby and I to rest, since the honeymoon isn''t until weeks later!

Tacori--are you worried about people feeling like eating around 7:30/7:45 is too late and leaving early? That is my main concern, is that some older people will leave right after dinner b/c I am planning on having my reception from 6:30 to 11:30 or 7 to midnight (depending on when people start arriving, the venue I have for the reception say they will start as soon as alot of people are there)

The ceremony will begin at 2:30.

It will end around 3:00.

Pictures from 3 till 4.

Then we are taking everyon in limos (about 25 people) to an Italian restaurant on the Nassau harbor. It is a 10 minute drive. We will have horderves and cocktails there on the water from 4:15 till 6:15.

Then back in the limos to the restaurant where we are having dinner. A five minute drive from the Italian place. Dinner to begin at about 6:30.

Not sure what will happen next. We want to do a midnight cruise for a few hours but I tend to get seasick. This would not be good at my own wedding. We may have something set up outside of the second restaurant which has a lush tropical garden with pools and fountains. Just a place to maybe have dessert and hang out. It is lit up beautifully at night. Probably end around 11 or 12.

No, I think MOST people know that when a ceremony doesn''t start until 5:30 dinner won''t be for awhile so will prepare by having a big lunch. We are having some food at the cocktail hour. When we are introduced we will go right into our first dance and I *think* speeches might be during dinner. We don''t usually eat dinner until 7-7:30 anyways. About people leaving early, I don''t know. I''ll let you know in three weeks.

What time do you expect the reception to start? Cocktail hour and appetizers immediately following ceremony, dinner to be served between 8 and 8:30pm depending on how things are going. Our wedding is very small (25 guests) and we aren''t having a dj/dancing, we''ve hired a guitarist/singer to play during both the ceremony and the reception. Our wedding sounds very similar to ellaila''s.
