Where have all the pictures gone?... come on ladies I want to ogle

Since I started this I guess I should answer as well.

I''d describe my taste in jewelry as a mix between unique, fun, ultra feminine, classic & sleek.
I go for uncommon pieces or very clean pieces. I''ve always enjoyed owning things that not many other people have, I get this from my mother. I''m partial to pave and micro pave settings, halos, intricate details, blinding blinginess, and things that make people stare or comment. My boyfriend says I''m gaudy but I pulll it off well. My philosophy is get away with as much as I can while I still can
27.gif
My style icons are Patricia Field (sex and the city stylist), Jackie O, Marilyn Monroe, Liz Taylor back in the day and I''m a bit of a label junkie, just to give you an idea of what my personal style is.
For solitaire stones I love asschers and radiants, I''ve also begun to grow fond of cushions, emeralds, and pears after seeing all the gorgeous ones on PS. My dream stone is a 4-6 ct golden peach asscher/radiant diamond. I tend not go for popular designers because of the added cost (my jeweler can replicate anything), don''t get me wrong if i had the money I''d love to be covered in cartier and van cleef arpels but wouldn''t we all
31.gif
.
On a daily basis I wear 0.8 ct marquise diamond earrings (each earring is 4 marquise diamonds arranged around a white gold bead & looks exactly like the classic Louis Vuitton monogram flower), 3-4 rings in the 0.33 - 0.6 ct range, 3 ct tennis bracelet, 3/8 ct or .54 ct pendant, white gold anklet, white gold toe ring... I pull out the special jewelry when I''m feeling showy or going out. So I wear approximately 6.8 cts on a daily basis and around 10-11 cts on special days.

gosh, I am all over the map. If the piece is well made, I will most likely like it because I appreciate fine quality work.
But my taste really do run from the sleek and modern to fine vintage. I am not crazy about some vintage, but again,
it really depends on the piece.

I love, love, heavy gold link bracelets. Not ready to cough up 8,000. for the one I like.

I love rectangular shaped stones, cushions, radiants, EC''s, but also love asschers, so go figure!

If I had to nail it down, I''d say classic with a little bling added. Now what would you call that, ha ha!!

Simple, classic and sparkly!

Simple, classic, colorful, but never gaudy. Solitaires are my favorites. I lean towards the modern. Don''t like complicated or fussy at all. I''ve never liked pave. Has to be wearable, sleek, and attractive.

Ive never met a piece of jewelry i didnt like!Seriously...One of my main passions in life is jewelry and its many forms and designs...I dont limit my choices!I especially love antique and vintage...anything of quality in its balance and design.I also love pieces that make me think.

I think my style will change as I reach different points in my life, but right now I''d call it mix of classic, understated, modern, and delicate. My e-ring setting is kindof a modern take on a classic style - although I think of the EC as sortof an old-fashioned style, I''d probably call it more modern than anything else. My w-bands are both totally classic styles (plain with milgrain, and a teensy rb bead set 3/4 eternity), my studs are rbs in a 4 prong basket (is there more classic than that?) and my RHR is antique/deco. Most of my pendants are really simple, too. I suppose that my taste in modern vs. vintage is sortof bridged by the gap of simple/delicate looks. I love sparkle, but I don''t think my look is necessarily blingy.

My style for non-fine pieces is completely different though - lots of chunky big necklaces and layered stuff. That''s why I think eventually my jewelry taste will evolve. I''m pretty sure someday I''ll be the old lady who wears all her jewelry all at once. :)

-I like modern. Modern to Ulrta modern
-I have a lot of bezel set jewelry (not a fan of prongs)
-I call my style classic with and edge. Nothing too fussy.
-I like nice clean design but I do like bling.
-I am big on diamonds but not gemstones.
-Clean lines nothing too clunky-I prefer light over heavy.
-I like white metals over yellow

I am not a fan of vintage or anything flowery...but I do appreciate it's intricacy but just not on me.

I love vintage and the unexpected (like mixing gemstones with diamonds, meaningful engravings and touches). I LOVE bezel with milgraining and have a few pieces with it (but I want more of course!) I love many different shapes. There is only a few I don''t care for. I am starting to like yellow gold again with warm colored gemstones. I am loving rose gold as well. I used to never mix but not I figure life is short. Wear what makes you happy!

My friend thinks it strange b/c while I LOVE antique style jewelry and watches I love modern and sleek for my home. Can''t explain it. It''s just what looks good to me.

I am the same way--love antique jewels but love a modern home.

We can be odd balls together!

I''m very much a jeans-and-t-shirt type of gal. I hardly ever wear skirts or a dress. My jewelry is pretty much the same.

On a daily basis I wear:

1. Ering - .80 in the center and .32 in additional side stones
2. .30cttw diamond stud earrings

My wedding band depends on my mood. I have the wedding band that goes with my ering, which is a 5-stone diamond band that weighs in at .40. I also have my mothers ring which is also a 5-stone band that alternates rubies with diamonds. Sometimes I wear both bands with my ering. I also have a 1cttw diamond eternity band and a plain 4mm white gold wedding band. Thank heaven for me finding PS because I actually had my mothers ring made at a local, non maul, jeweler for a fair price!
36.gif
Before PS I would have gone to the maul and found one that was just okay.

I have two piercings in each ear so for the second hole I''ll choose a gemstone earring - I have several: pink sapphire, ruby, emerald - those are my faves.

As for rings, I found PS much too late in my jewelry buying career. Most of my jewelry is from the maul so if you look on Kay''s website I''d bet you''d find a lot of the pieces I own.
2.gif

I love big rings - chunky and gaudy as I''d say and I have several. Mostly cheapies but still nice for when DH and I get a chance to go out just the two of us. For earrings I love smaller studs or small danglies. Nothing too flashy there. I do not wear watches or bracelets because my wrists are very small and I do a lot of typing at the office. I also do like pendants, but again most of mine come from the "maul collection" and match some of the earrings and rings that I have. Still pretty to wear when going out though.

If it sparkles; I like it. For my own collection though I like simple, classic, sparkly. I like colored stones around 3/4 ct with diamond accents for RHR. My favorite earrings are studs. In bracelets I like smaller ct weight with gold links then gemstone and i like to wear 2 bracelets. My favorite shapes used to be oval and heart but now I am buying mostly round.

I have often ask myself the same question.

Befoe PS, I thought RB was the one and only shape that I liked. And now, to be honest, I cannot even come to think just one style that I like for I seem to like them ALL. Many times, I have caught myself drooling all over the keyboard for many rings from PS; all those rings are pretty in different ways. Let's just bring a few lovely rings as example- First of all, who can forget about SDL's 3 stone ering (the combination of blue sapphire and diamond)? Musey's gorgeous Asscher e-ring, coatmundi's bezel, milgrain RB on her equally beautiful size 4 finger? How about catmon's and LaurenThe Partier's color halo? edl's Van Craeynest setting with cushion? robh505 and bebe's Leon Mege settings? And so many more....

Gosh, there are just too many rings are gorgeous in so many different styles....
18.gif
The best way to answer your question might be- I don't discrcriminate blinks, I love them all.

It would be easier to say what isn't my style. I don't like chunky architectural/geometic modern jewelry. It's too jarring for me. Don't know if that makes sense. Beyond that though... I'm not a fan of pink, or purple for myself. I love bold saturated colors, and I love white diamonds (which in their brightness and fire are bold too). I don't like anything too cutesy or precious either. I'm not necessarily understated, but can be. If I had the money...
11.gif
I wouldn't be understated
31.gif
. But I do like classic pieces with clean lines, and am drawn to delicacy and balance. I like halos. I love slim well executed bezels. I'm not a fan of three sided pave, it's too much for me, personally. But I enjoy it all. It may not be a piece I'd chose for myself, but I can admire it for others.

Expensive.

Can I rescind my earlier post and just say ''What she said''?
ditto to that one! Also, I like to say classic/throwback and timeless...........

Thraitto :) Expensive is my favourite kind :D, I have a special talent of picking expensive consistently without trying :D.

In saying that though I love expensive jewelery that doesn''t necessarily look all that expensive not too showy or gaudy but rather understated and elegant.

I also like simple, timeless designs and stuff that is kinda fun as well, depends on my mood.

My style is modern European with simple lines and curves. One of my favourite designers is the house of Georg Jensen, a Danish silversmithing house which designs jewellery, silverware, cutlery etc. I have several pieces which I adore.

I can appreciate lots of different styles and love lots of fussy/blingy jewellery but its not me.

I''m so prescriptive in my likes and dislikes that everyone who knows me understands this. I''m very particular which I guess makes it easier for people to buy for me cos they know that I''ll like it if its from a particular design house or style type.

I''d rather wait 20 years to get a particular piece and have what I want rather than get a substitute. For example, since seeing the Vivianna watch from Georg Jensen when I was 16 I''ve wanted it and will wait patiently until one day I have it........20 years so far but I know that I will have it one day and I will treasure it and have it for the rest of my life. Doesn''t help that I discovered the other day that they''re doing a diamond version *swoon*.

Classic, timeless. I do love some vintage.. I do love some halos.. I dont own either of those. :) lol My pieces can be worn all the time and that''s just how I like it. :) I don''t have a theme tho!

Ditto! Classic, elegant, timeless. I love the look of vintage jewelry and halos but could never see myself wearing them. I just appreciate them on others.
31.gif
Everything I own can be worn every day and I love that!

Well, I guess that I would say that I go thru phases. I am not at all trendy and buy into the latest trends, but I love to keep it simple. I really don''t like to stand out too much. Before I loved the pave bands and would always say that I would get one as a wedding band but now I have to say that I am more into the plain platinum bands. I thought about this because one of my co-workers got married in the early 90''s and mentioned how she felt that her ring was very outdated. I thought that personally, I would want to have a simple band and know that it won''t go out of style. I don''t know if I am making any sense.

But anyways, my style is simple. I love to wear fun pieces that are "blinged" out. Like hair accessories etc.

Likes: Simple, modern, clean, understated
Dislikes: showy, in your face, blingy, gaudy, "if-I-raise-my-hand I-will-poke-my-eye-out-with-my-ring" type setting

Everyone seems to be saying the same thing: simple, classic, understated. Some people are also saying: delicate (one of them being Harriet, who wears a 3-carat diamond solitaire). Yet we don't all like the same pieces of jewelry! I am not sure that what for "timeless" and "classic" for one of us is "timeless" and "classic" for the other!

I used to wear only the very smallest pieces of yellow gold jewelry made in traditional patterns, and small pearl earrings. Actually, since I didn't have pierced ears, the earrings (which were simulated pearls) were clip-on earrings. I just thought that that was appropriate for wearing to school (when I taught) or to the office. In my 40's I started to buy some diamonds and later I bought some high karat gold jewelry, but the high karat gold jewelry pieces are small and delicate with the possible exception of some bangle bracelets. I don't know if one would call bangle bracelets small and delicate. I think that they can have a classic look, however.

Each of my diamonds is set in a conservative piece of jewelry that has slim lines. Each is more a modern look. Some are custom made. Some are all yellow gold, others are a mix of yellow gold for a shank and platinum for a head. I may have earrings that are completely set in platinum.

My jewelry is not only delicate, but simple in design, with simple, streamlined lines. I have one diamond on a gold wire necklace that consists of many wires...it is a very modern look, but simple, too.

My style is all over the map. I like classic and timeless, I also like some halos, and I''m obsessed with bezel right now. I wear mostly vintage and vintage-inspired pieces, though. That would be my first love. I have an oec e-ring and oec studs. I am on the hunt for a bezel, with milgrain necklace and earrings right now!

Modern, straight lines. Bauhaus inspired jewelry that german designers favor.

Niessing, Bunz, Henrich & Denzel, Christoph Blatter, etc.
