But I have to take care of this before work on Thurs and Fri...I am a nurse, and I think its important to be able to hear what my patients are saying.....Lol!!

Being the DIPSTICK that I am, I momentarily forgot that my father WAS A PROFESSIONAL CHEF... so I called him and asked for his chicken noodle soup recipe and ...OMG.

That soup looks sooooo yummy, and perfect on cold nights like this, and even better when you''re sick. So, can you post the recipe? When you feel better of course.

Is your dad still a chef? Oops, I just saw that you said "was."

Mmm, that looks yummy! Hope you feel better soon...

I make chicken soup in the crockpot. Basically I throw the following in and let it simmer for 7 hours or so:
cooked boneless chicken breast
chicken broth
chopped carrots
chopped celery
long grain rice
garlic (several cloves)
seasoned salt
random spices (oregano, thyme, sage)

5 Chicken Legs
1/2 MD Onion, Chopped
1 Garlic Clove, Minced
1/2 Tomato, Chopped
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
3 Chicken Bouillon Cubes
Dash of Paprika
Sage, Chopped
Thyme, Chopped
3 MD Potatoes, diced in to bite sized chunks
1 cup Baby Carrots, cut in half
4 tbsp Tomato Soup (any kind is good)
1 tsp Sugar
1 tbsp Honey
2 cups MD Shell Noodles
1 cup Chicken Stock

Wash the chicken legs, peel the skin back and cut off the last 1.5" of the bone, add to a small soup pot with 6 cups of water, onions, garlic, sugar, honey, cinnamon, bouillon cubes, paprika and tomato. Boil until the chicken has muted color (may take up to 40 mins, add extra water if needed) Add potatoes, carrots and your chicken stock and boil until veggies are soft. Add salt and pepper to taste and throw in your shells, boil until those are soft and then turn off the shove, cover and let sit until boiling stops. The chicken should fall off the bone during the cool down. Add 1 tsp of lemon juice if you like (adds a teeny bit of bite, mmmmm)

Takes 1.5 hours altogether, but you don't really have to watch it all that closely. Oyster crackers ontop are thhhhhhhe best.
