? about ordering from lan.bo4

I custom ordered a ring setting from him. We emailed back and forth. He sent me a paypal invoice (not an ebay auction) and I paid it. This was about 8 days ago. I don't expect my ring is finished yet but does he usually tell you when he has mailed it or should I contact him in a few days? Just wondering what your experiences have been

I always request a photo of the setting when it is done and before it is sent to me. However, in my experience, he has never made the changes I asked for after the ring has been done. I don't recall lan.bo4 ever notifying me when an item has been shipped. LOGR does though.

I did get a message from lan.bo4 that the settings had shipped, but no tracking numbers. That's one thing I really do appreciate about LOGR.

Thanks for the input. I re-read his emails it said he ships fed-ex and about 1 week to complete the ring. I emailed him and asked if it was done yet and could he provide a photo before shipping. We shall see what happens.

I have just received the ring I ordered from him. I am going to mount a blue asscher cut spinel I got from Tan. The shipping is really fast, it took only 5 days to get to Spain from China. I did not had a tracking number, but as the package was so fast, it did not mattered to me ( I hate when the shipping takes a month and you dont know if everything is going ok because you cannot track the parcel).

My 3 rings turned up today which was a surprise as I didn't know they'd been shipped and I thought they were still being made!

The good news is that 2 of the rings are simply stunning (a triple halo and double halo ring). However the 3rd ring (and the cheapest of the three) is really not good. The ring looks "flat" and the diamonds are dull and lifeless. This is the first one that I'm going to have to return. So in total I've had 6 rings, 5 have been very good indeed and 1 not good. It's probably a better quality ratio than I've found with LOGR.

Can you tell me what the name on the paypal invoice was? I noticed it seemed quite different than his store names. I emailed him last night but have not heard anything yet. I am glad you got your rings and are mostly happy

Update:
I paid for the ring on 8-3-10 and fed ex delivered today. I think that is pretty fast for a modified setting. Of course I wasn't home when it came and it states I cannot pick up at the fed ex station until after 6 pm. I am hoping all the modifications are done correctly. I will update again soon.
