well, everyone else did this so i guess it''s my turn..41 y/o mom of 2 teens,son is 18 and duaghter is 16..i was raised in south florida from miami all the way up the coast to the panhandle..went to cocoa high school (I dream of jeannie) and watched many takeoffs from cape canaveral. moved to alabama many years ago. i am married (3rd and final) to the worlds best hubby and we have 5 dogs, (2 chihuahuas, 2 shih tzus, 1 schnauzer) 1 cat, a parrot and a hermit crab. i managed a bookstore until it closed, now i am a stay at home mom. i love anything that sparkles, be it natural or sims..i also was booted off the island, but look at it as a good thing..the best of the best seemed to have ended up here! bored yet? did i tell ya how happy i am to be here??

I am glad to see you here! I'm also one of the "booted" and wasn't a very prolific poster on the island, but was glad to see so many familiar names.

Gosh, in all the time I enjoyed your posts over at the "other site", I never realized you were from South Florida. I come from Homestead! When ANDREW wiped it out my parents moved up the coast to Palm Bay. My youngest sister lives in Deland and my middle sister in Panama City. Here I sit across country in San Diego. Thankful that I wasn't living down there when Andrew hit.

yes, i DO prefer to fly!! lol.it was worth it

.. and i spent my younger childhood in homestead..even went to sacred heart catholic school.. it was the only private school down there then and was mostly made up of hafb kids...i actually found my yearbook (size of a menu) last night from there...made me feel even older..

Oh my gosh, I went to Sacred Heart too!! First grade through third and then we got stationed up to Bangor, Maine. Talk about a shock! I haven't been back to Homestead since 1990, and have been told that it just isn't the same since the hurricane.

It's great to see you here. I'm 41 too but my youngest is still in Kindergarten.

Ah well, she and the boys do help keep me feelin younger. I guess it's a wash.
