add me to the list! i've been posting in LIW and thought i would do a formal intro. BF and I have been together for one year & eight months and, as previously mentioned, i've known from our first date that he is the man i want to marry. we fell in love rather quickly and have now been living together for four months. we have been talking about marriage, children, and spending the rest of our lives together for a number of months but it wasn't until just the other day that he actually told me he was seriously looking at diamonds. 
now, i have no idea if that means he is going to propose anytime soon but i REALLY REALLY hope so. we are both 30, in stable jobs, make good money (granted there are considerable student loans), and know that we definitely want to marry one another. all of these things combined, to me, make the perfect setup for a proposal. i have zero doubt that he wants to marry me - there have been many many MANY tearful, heartfelt conversations but, of COURSE, he is just so slow at making decisions (ANY decision) that it has been driving me crazy! (read: LIWitis to the max!!!) he actually doesn't want me to be involved in the process of choosing the diamond/setting since he is very traditional in this regard so i have no idea where he is as far as that is concerned. no worries though - i've very extensively educated him (including a bus trip to good old gold) so he knows exactly what i want...maybe even more than i do, haha. i just hope this wait ends SOOOOON because i want to be able to share a proposal with our families for the holidays.
