I succumbed. There is nothing that makes a woman feel better than shoe shopping. And I needed a lift yesterday. Since all discretionary spending has been funnelled to the wedding... I had to buy BRIDAL shoes, of course.

LOL.

They are actually exactly what I was looking for as alternative to the dyables I had bought three years ago. 1-1.5 inch wedge heel, vintage feel, silver and open toe. Plus the style is called "Sunshine" so it seemed right. I''m going to have to wait till the gown gets here and I get to the seamstress to decide if they are ''the ones'' as I don''t want to hem my gown at all, just get the right pair of shoes for them. But I think these should be fine in terms of the heels. If they aren''t the other ones with thier 2 inch heel are. So... here are my two pairs of shoes:

I like the dyeables in terms of style. They are more bridal. But the sunshine shoes are comfy, and safe (no heels sinking into the grass) and cute too. Plus, if i don''t wear them at the wedding, I''ll still get plenty of wear out of them. Oh, I got them at Nordstrom and they are Me too.

Excuse the extreme need for a pedicure.

Oh, and I forgot. The main reason these were the ones I picked... the soles have plastic treads. TRACTION. The other's have leather soles that need scuffing and breaking in.

I love them Gypsy. They are super cute and I bet you''ll get tons of wear out of them after the wedding whether you wear them for it or not.

They look great! I love the front.

Thanks guys! I''m happy with them. I don''t care that much for the side view of them as they remind me of a few pairs of my grandmother''s house slippers...but all the other features, plus they fact that no one would really see anything other than the front of them made them a winner. John''s thrilled. He was very concerned about our ceremony being on a lawn.

Now personally... I''d rather be wearing these: http://www.bluefly.com/pages/products/detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=2082466037&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2077035967&N=933&Ne=500000&Nu=Product+ID&Ntk=all&Ntt=louboutin&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial

or these:

But then, I''m rather fond of my ankles unbroken as well.

Welcome to the club! Those are supercute and sure look very comfy. And at the wedding, you will have one less worry of tripping or sinking into grass.
I must say, I LOVE the first pair of Louboutins. I tried that same style, only they were completely studded in Swarovski crystals...TDF! Except I just haven't worked myself up to justifying a 1200 price tag for the extra bling-age. Otherwise, they would be mine! Oh, but not to say I'm at all unhappy with my latest pair of Manolos. ....Unless said Louboutins happen to show up on E-bay for half price in the near future..
