advice on purchasing a center stone for a 3 stone project

Hi! I am in the process of purchasing a center stone for my custom made 3 stone set in platinum with 2.51 carats lilac grey spinel center stone. the jeweller told me that it was a top quality round cut spinel in 2.51 carats lilac gray in color for 1,300 euro for a single loose stone. I am just not sure if the price is right for the said gemstone. What do you think bees? Is it worth paying 1,300 euro for the gemstone? I would set it as a center stone with 2 round brilliant .30 ct diamond sidestone. I attached photos of the designs and a video of the gemstone. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

I think the stone should be under $1000 to be reasonable

I think that is overpriced for the color, which looks grayish. I wouldn't want to pay over 1000 usd, and quite honestly that would be steep. Do you want gray? Or purple? Or a combination of both colors?

That looks more gray than purple, so it shouldn't be 1300 EUR. Should be priced between $600 and $1000.
