Hi Sharon,
I like the spinel''s colour, but not the spessartite''s (the brown secondary).

Hi Sharon, I love the spinel and agree the spessartite is a little brown. They both look like sparklers though.

The spinel!!

Hi Sharon,

The Spinel. Yummmmmmmy

Linda

HI:

Thanks peoples. I must admit I was not struck by the brown--maybe it is my monitor? Kinda yummy tho.....

cheers--Sharon

I vote YES for the spinel! That is the yummiest shade and the cut gives it a lot of sparkle.

Spinel!!!! Love that cut!

That Spinel is delish.

HI:

I am thinking and thinking....it really looks fine. Thing is I already have a sapphire cut in the same shape (a bit larger) set in a ring and I would want this also for a ring; having the same shape weighs on me.....

cheers--Sharon

Sharon,

Do you own any spinel? If not I would get it, just to own a spinel.

That is just me though.

Linda

Oh, bummer. I know. I would not want to get another ring with the same shape too, in particular, for a trilliant.

Sharon,

How about setting it for a pendant?

HI Linda:

Actually "not yet"--and I KWYM about having a spinel...more than just a little temptation there!!!!! And I think it would be perfect for a pendant, but honestly I just forget to put them on and ususally have a long heavy chain.....not to mention we live 6 months of the year where our "neck" are covered by sweaters!!!!!!!!!!!!

cheers--Sharon

HI:

Yes, considering I tried to buy that bubble gum pink sapphire during AC Gems sale last year (boohoo

gone to good home elsewhere) and it was also a trilliant! Trilliants galore!

cheers--Sharon

Sharon, maybe since you are having some days where u miss a rb, you should look for a colored stone in s round shape. Even though the rb you found sounds like a great size and stone to fit the bill

(in another thread)

I understand where you are coming from re the RB. I just reset my rb for those days when I feel more round than radiant....

MHO, but i do prefer colored stones in different shapes...

Actually, I was picturing it embedded in a semi wide, smooth cuff. But it could really be whatever you like, that will work practically speaking.

GREAT IDEA ELLEN!!!! Leave it to you to come up with an idea like that!!!

That would be beautiful Sharon.

HI:

hahahahahhaa Ellen Nah, nothing so ominous; I haven''t been around much, and if I do I don''t check all forums. I of course adore cuffs, but suspect a stone of this size would get lost in the bracelet. So I''ll tkae part of your suggestion and just GET A GOLD CUFF.
9.gif
I cannot decide on this stone at any rate.....

cheers--Sharon
