Ok...I have been lurking on PS all summer (and picked up some of the lingo obviously!) and I finally decided to register today! Brace yourselves for a rather long inaugural post!
I first came across the site as I caught a case of the weddings and decided to begin making my own little database of dream wedding dresses. I immediately fell in love with the Melissa Sweet Dora (although ''Fern'' is my absolute favourite!) and I came across a PS thread while I was googling. The rest is history....I''m officially addicted...and now I am in on the action!!!!!!!!!!
I''ve never written in a forum before...EVER...so please bear with me. Here''s a bit about myself:
My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 4 years (this November). We have been living together since January ''07. We met in university on a co-ed three-pitch baseball team while he was finishing his last year and I was in the first year of my Masters degree. We have a ton of mutual friends from university and even lived in the same building during our first year of undergrad, but didn''t manage to meet (and totally connect!) until many years later. Since then, we have had an amazing time together with a few little snags in the road, but nevertheless we are madly in love! Now we are both working professionals and I feel like weère ready for the next step...
On the engagement front, we have talked about it in moderation and he even asked me to save a bookmark of a potential ring on his iphone. His most common response to anything on this topic though is, "we have lots of time." Needless to say I think I have some waiting ahead of me although he is fabulous at planning surprises. Lately he has been extra lovey-dovey expressing his extreme love for me (please don''t gag...he just really really loves me!
) so it''s raised my suspicions a little. We are taking a 3 week trip to Europe (France, Portugal, Spain) in a couple of weeks and there''s a possibilty...but a verrrry sliiiiim one at that due to $$, timing, his readiness, etc. So, we won''t get our hopes up too much!
