I was looking up this old post I made two years ago. Funny how our tastes can change, now i just think it looks YUCK and cannot understand why I liked it back then.

I liked that design myself about 15-20 years ago. Yes, our tastes do change(thankfully)

Haha, I remember that post!!! Mainly because it reminds me of my mom''s ring - which was made in 1981 and is soooooo "80''s" - but I didn''t have pictures of it at the time. Isn''t it funny how we sometimes get wrapped up in an item and then later look back and think "ew! what was that obsession all about?!?!"

Although, I have to say that I still love my mom''s ring - partly because, when it is clean it is blinding, it is an eternity band, and it is a wedding band so it sits lower than the one you were looking at.... and, well because it''s my mom''s so there''s some sentimental value and I get it someday!

Yes I remember you saying about your mothers ring. It looks a lot better because it is lower around the finger and not as much gold on display. I also like how at the back of the ring behind the marquise shaped stones the basket is a lot smaller shows a smaller marquise wire shape at the foot of your stones. It does look very sparkly. An heirloom also means it is better plus it was made in 1981, I don't think the one I looked at was a genuine one for the period.

Do you know the colour and clarity of your mum's ring, the cut must be good too because it is blinding?
