Anniversary Opal

Hi all. Just wanted to share a pic of my anniversary present. Married 14 years and almost every anniversary my husband buys me the gemstone for that year. This year was Opal. He did good!

Shame there was no sunshine - I will have to snap another one when I get time in the sun.

Opinions required:

Should I have the band enlarged so I can wear it on my pointer finger? As it’s so big and blingy I kind of feel it would be better than on my fourth finger.

What would you do?

I would probably have it made to wear on my left hand middle finger (I wear CS and pearl rings on that hand), being such a large stone and ring.

Personal preferences and all that.

That’s actually a good point. I already knocked in on the table twice at dinner last night (no nicks thankfully). Maybe wearing it on my non-dominant hand would be sensible.

First of all, beautiful opal ring! I second the point about non-dominant hand, and as for which finger, I think it looks great already where it is, but if it's up for deliberation then I vote for either middle or pointer finger.

He is wishing he didn’t start it now - next year is ruby and given the price increases he is already starting to dread the credit card bill!
