Today I was browsing an Australian online antique jewellery website and found this pretty little thing:

A platinum ring set across the top with five diamonds of transition and early transition cuts graduated in from 0.45ct to 0.15ct graded as colour H/I/J clarity SI each part bezel and part claw set to a scalloped gallery all to upswept shoulders to a plain band. Total Estimated Diamond Weight: 1.34ct Band Width: 1.7mm Weight: 3.0grams

I think it's lovely but overpriced at $5400, well... Maybe too expensive for me anyway!)

What do you guys think?

Extremely overpriced....at least double what it should be. Can't really tell anything about the diamonds from than picture, so hard to know if it is a good one or not.

Rutherfords are notoriously overpriced. Great for ideas and eye candy but you never get a deal there and you rarely pay a reasonably price. Having said that, they have some truly stunning pieces. But a lot of their antique stones are not cut well.

Thanks ladies!!! I too felt their pieces were extreme overpriced and it seems to be a pattern here in Australia! I'm not in the market (I'm still trying to work out my engagment reset hehe).

I love 1stdibs and saw a 10 carat princess stone which I'd probably kill for!

Thanks again :)

LaurenK,

I think you might like these rings from Love Affair Diamonds, check out her Facebook page, there's prices there for these bands. Totally to die for. If I was in the market for rings I might pick one of these up haha :)
