I''m not on the waiting list to be married yet, but I already know one thing is for sure...

At my wedding, my 3 sisters and I will dance to "We Are Family" by Sister Sledge. All 3 of my sisters are between 9 and 16 yrs older than me, but at each of their weddings we did this. It''s one of things I look forward to most.

Does anyone else have family traditions that they are excited about? or not so excited about? Or for those of you that are the first, do you hope to start a tradition for the rest of your siblings?

FYI... Happy FRIDAY everyone!!!

My sister and I always go eat a greasy local specialty at this one specific hole-in-the-wall place before family events - especially if they are fancy events. So our plan is: manicure, greasy food, hair-dos. All my maids are coming too.

i am really looking forward to dancing the kaslamantiano (traditional greek circle dance) and the ouzo dance with my family as well as smashing the plates that i''ll use up until the wedding.

Indy Gal: I love hole-in-the wall places like that. They usually have huge portions and the food is awesome!

Mimzy: I didn''t know that you also eat off of the plate up until the wedding. How interesting. Do you pick it out yourself or is it more of an engagement present? I''m assuming it''s not a precious family heirloom...

haha i''m actually just being dramatic. i''ve had the same plates in my apt for a loongg time and i can''t wait to get rid of them for new ones! i actually got new ones for christmas, but i''m holding out on using them so that the smashing of the ugly ones i have will be that much more satisfying

None.
My parents got married on a friend''s lawn in white sweats and played volleyball afterwards.

My family is Irish and that''s where we got engaged, so we have some Irish wedding flowers, green as a color and hopefully an Irish band for music, but no real traditions since I''m too short to play volleyball!

Irish huh... I guess you can always help refill everyone''s, uhh, beer!!!

Is it going to be green?
