Any owners of 3 to 4 cats (meow!) here?

Cat Genie


That thing has made having 3 cats sooo much easier and far more pleasant. I''ve got a Cat Genie and one regular litter box I change every two days.

Going from 1 cat in one house and two cats in another to 3 cats in one house really was a surprising increase in the amount of litter box cleaning and issues. It wasn''t additive at all. But the Cat Genie really took care of most of our problems including 90% of the ''thinking outside the box'' problem.

I love having 3 cats! More love and more furry warm bodies to snuggle with.

The experience I had of a cat sharing their home with kittens is that the cat is not hostile to the kitten but tends to wear a look of long-suffering patience a lot. Just make sure to give your adult cats extra attention and love when the kittens get home! It''ll help.

zhuzhu-we had 5 indoor cats until last Dec. 15th, when we had to put my Max(my avitar angle kitty) to sleep due to severe kidney disease.

5 cats was no more work than 2-they all got along well. Just more food, litter boxes and love.

Things after Max being gone, have been terrible-now 4 cats seem like 20!!! 3 Males and 1 Female(2 males are 10years old and the other male and female are 2 and a half). 2 of the males(one younger and one older are now fighting for alpha male-literally) and things have been awful. They are all crabby and after each other, 3 just had bladder infections, mainly due to increased stress I was told by my Vet! It's been tough, because I know how good it was when they all got along. I miss Max enough, now I have to deal with the fact that he was the alpha cat and the peace keeper!

So I guess my experience has been both good and bad with multiple cats!!! I love them each by them selves, just not how they act together.

Good luck with your new addition, maybe a 2nd kitten might be a good idea to keep the other kitten company
