OK, so I am one for sure.

I have had my ring for about 2 months and I love it so much that I wear it at ALL times except for cleaning. Of course given the soft nature of the platinum, my double-claw prongs are slightly "off balance" compared to the its birth shape.

Granted that it is ever so slightly unbalance, ie: some of the space between the 2 prongs are slightly wider apart than others, and that the curvature degree on the sides are not perfectly exact.

Of course, all this observation come from my daily inspection using 10X scope, and with naked eye you have to have your ring sitting 6 inches in front of your nose to see them...... Still, it sort of bothers me. However I hate the idea of partng with it to get it fixed, as my jeweler is very busy and I will be without it for a week at least. Another concern (perhaps unfounded) is that multiple shaping of the platinum prongs may weaken it for its lifetime longevity?

What do you gals do? Do you obsess with symmetry as much as I do? Do you take your ring back to get it fixed everytime you see an imperfection? What should be considered normal?

Thanks!

That, and in no time at all, it will be just like it is now.

I am very much a "symmetrical" person, but I''m getting better as I get older (thank god). I have a prong that''s not quite right, as I''m sure I whacked it out of place. But I''ve inspected it with a loupe, and it''s not jeapodizing anything, so I''ll wait until I have it cleaned to fix it.

I''d let it go personally, becauseas I said, it''s just gonna get that way again.
